I was at your facility Tuesday night for the Smashing Pumpkins concert. I took my girlfriend, teenage daughter and her best friend. My girlfriend has Friedreich’s Ataxia. It’s a terminal neurological disease that causes her central nervous system to deteriorate. She is confined to a wheelchair and requires assistance for nearly everything. Let me say your service staff were amazing. They made sure we were seated, comfortable, and able to enjoy our evening. The concessions staff were friendly and helpful. We had a really great evening. Right up until the end. Part of of my girlfriends disease leaves her unable to feel whether she has to urinate until it’s time. She doesn’t know 30 minutes ahead of time. She doesn’t feel it coming on. When she feels the need to urinate... we have about 10 to 15 minutes to get to a bathroom. Which is almost never a problem. We can always pull over if we’re driving... or use a restroom at any place we happen to be at. We were exiting the building and we got maybe 10 feet from the door and she says “I have to pee” because the bumpy stone/brick walkway shook her up a little (It happens... that’s not a complaint). But it was at that moment she knew she had to go. Keep in mind we were TEN FEET from the door. It locked behind us. There was a Gentleman in a purple/blue sport coat standing there with two security guys. He was an older man with short gray hair. I assume he was head of security or the manager. I knocked on the door and one of the security officers opened it. I said “Is there anyway we can come inside to just use the bathroom please, it’s an emergency.” The security officer said “That’s not up to me it’s up to that man right there.” and pointed to the short older man in the purple/blue jacket. I repeated my request. He replied “You were just in here.” to which I started to reply “We didn’t know we had to go until just now.” but before I could finish my statement he said “You’re done here.” and shut the door in our face. We didn’t make it to another bathroom in time. This has NEVER happened to us. Usually people are willing to make special allowances for her because it’s plain to see she needs them. I don’t know what to make of this really. I doubt anything will be done about it. Especially if this guy is a manager. But we won’t ever come back to another event there. I was going to come to Blade Show this year... and she wanted to go to the next Abilities Expo should it be there. But I can’t really trust her well being to your venue in the future. And I will see to it that I share this with anyone that will listen. This was very disappointing... but more than anything it was heartbreaking to watch her suffer when all your employee had to do was let her use the damn restroom. Whoever that man is... he has no soul.

I went and saw Elvis Costello tonight and the show was great! The building is also quite nice and classy. My only complaint would be with the usher staff. I was sitting in the center orchestra section row B. There was a group of men sitting two rows behind me who had won tickets to this concert and had no appreciation for the music. They were drunk, yelling, and flat out rude. This continued for maybe 45 minutes before they got bored and left. The ushers were doing nothing to control the bunch while the people around had to be the ones to shush them. I wouldnt be so mad but the fact that the ushers were also behaving badly sent me over the edge. There was a female usher who harassed my mother multiple times over petty things. An example of this would be when my mom left to use the restroom and came back while a song was going on. She politely waited for it to end seeing as that is the proper etiquette for performances in a theater. The song was going on for a bit longer than she expected so she sat in an empty seat. The usher quickly snapped into action and rudely said to her that she could not sit there. (this was the encore of the performance, she was not taking up anybodys seat) Then my mother went to go back to her actual seat and the usher then proceeded to yell, "HEY! DO YOU HAVE YOUR TICKET?" My mom told her that it was with me and the usher made a face and grudgingly let her through. These ushers did not deal with the loud and drunk men who were causing actual disturbances, and instead they caused their own disruptions by yelling at others who were not in the wrong. Just for the record, I seldom saw an usher smile or try being friendly. I will be coming back to the place for a show in December so we shall see if they have improved.

I had been here before and liked it however this visit was very disappointing. It started out fine however after waiting over 30 mins more than the time we were supposed to which I know this is not the centers fault, I went in and let the usher see my ticket she informed me that my seat was behind the camera and I would have to go back to the box office to get a different seat. And this was before even letting me even see my seat which will come into play later. So I went all the way back to the front entrance through a sea of people out the front which I was lucky to find a nice lady that would remember me so I could get back in b/c my ticket had already been scanned but what if that had not happened then where would I have been. Ok so I made it to the box office which was outside and it was freezing outside. So I have to wait in line only to have them look at me like I was trying to get over on them when I told them what I had been told, then look at my ticket, ask me my name, and scramble around trying to figure out what they were supposed to do when they were the ones that told me to come there. Oh and not to mention the lady at the box office that was "helping me" was very rude to me and hateful. She acted like I shouldnt be upset that I was having to jump through all these hoops. it wasnt my fault, I wanted to be in my seat. So anyway come to find out my seat was fine after all and not behind any camera. I dont know why the 1st lady didnt let me check my seat before she sent me on that stupid wild goose chase. I just think they need to let people see their seats before doing something like that and talk to their people in the box office about the customer service and not being so rude to people that are have issues.

Went to see the Shins here and was very disappointed. We had good seats in the center orchestra, but the audio quality was atrocious. Ive been to concerts all over Atlanta and even the Tabernacle has better sound. The audio was boomy and washed in echo. The mix playing in the washroom actually sounded better. Words were unintelligible and individual notes were indistinguishable in a muddy mess. This is an act known for their meticulousness, so I find it hard to blame the engineer. Looking up you can see that the sound baffling in the auditorium is flimsy transparent fabric instead of dense soundproofing and just there to cover the unattractive exposed ceiling. No wonder the sound is so bad. To make matters worse, despite the fact that there were at least twice the staff youd think necessary milling about, the concessions shut down at I-am-kidding-you-not *9:30* PM. The only good thing I can say is parking was reasonable and the building itself is attractive and well-lit. I will never attend another event here.
