I love the live jazz here. Always have. Ive tolerated that the 2nd stall, the door hits the toilet so you must squeeze through the door to use the toilet. For years, I have never posted but tonight is beyond belief!..Itbis impossible to wash my hands be sure the sink is so nasty! NASTY! The bathroom is nasty! I informed 2 that the sink is stopped up.qhen I first arrived.and it was still nasty when I left! It is unsanitary, in the ladies room tonight. When I told the waitress I was unable to wash my hands, she directed me to another bathroom, by the pool tables .. That sink is disgusting! i just went back there again to see if aomeone brought a plinger to unclog the sink. Guess what? Itbis still clogged and there is standing water in the sink. They serve food here. I am shocked that bathroom looks the same it has liked since I first visited Atlanta, before I moved here in 1992!. They make plenty and it it a shame that after all these years, the bathroom looks as it did in the 80. Tonight, the sink is disgusting. Absolutely disgusting! The jazz is always phenomenal. I love open mic nights. How does an establishment that serves food have a stopped up sink? The health department must investigate! I have allays enjoyed the jazz, rarely go to the ladies room becauae it is a challenge to use the comode.. The stalls are so small, you practically have to climb on the comode to use the toilet and the 1nd shall, the door hits the toilet, and entry is impeded. This is not a new problem. The owner clearly does not care about his clients. This nasty bathroom has not changed. After tonight, I could no longer remain silent. where is the health inspector? Perhaps they will renovate the womens restroom and unclog the damn sink! That is a health hazard! What is it like in the kitchen. I do not eat here! Shocking! Disgusting! Hazardous! Unclog the sink! I took pictures ro support my post! Itbis down right nasty in the bathroom andntge post form others are accurate. Great live jazz in a nasty, dirty, filthy restroom for the guests. There are other places to listen to live jazz that care about their clients enough to renovate the restrooms. It is 2017, for Christs sake!

Went on a Sunday night and the music was amazing. We had a party of 4 and only one person really enjoyed their food and it was me. My ribeye steak was amazing so were the veggies on the side. The jerk chicken breast was too salty. The blackened salmon lacked seasoning and flavor. The shrimp Alfredo pasta was a bland as well..service is slow. The jerk wing and hot wings were great appetizers and drinks were good as well. We arrived at 830PM for the 830PM show and were able to sit wherever we wanted. The Show didnt start until 9 which was cool with us. Arriving early allowed for great parking in front. The staff was friendly which is always nice. Cover can be paid with a cc if needed amd cost pee show is always noted on their website with the type of show which is a plus. We will definitely return for the music and atmosphere not the food LOL

I first ventured to Cafe290 about two weeks ago, and that was the night my mind was blown. I saw Julius "The Man of 1000 Voices" Williams and company... Incredible show... Also, the bartender on the jazz side - Mo - is incredible, and always on point... I never had to wait for more than 5 minutes for a drink, and the drink prices were very reasonable. I did not try the food, but Im not really looking to eat at a place like 290, Im just there to listen to the music and drink. Went back this past Friday and saw Reggie Hines play, took a date this time - and she ate it up. I highly recommend Cafe290 to anyone looking for some good jazz/soul music. Also, Tommy in the Skybox on the sports bar side - is hilarious. Tell him to "take me to the skybox" for a very funny surprise.

This place has been in business for 25 yrs and you wouldnt know it. It put you in the mind of a start up place that just open. New to the area the information on their website has not been updated. My husband and I arrived and we were celebrating a birthday. We were enjoying the band feeling the vibe, and around 11:00 pm I started smelling cigarette smoke. We walked up front and ask the guy who was at the door, whats going on? He stated after 11:00 they can smoke on the other side of the room. Very upset because walking in your establishment clearly on oxygen, one would think I would have been informed. Had to leave and they dont need any star!!!!! But you cant post unless you give them one. It over priced to be a hole in the wall. Will never go back.

Only because I couldnt give a zero. Friday. July 21,2017. Horrible service. The manager is confused. She stuck 9 guests by the dirty bathrooms to sit. Then we waited 20 mins and no one approached us so I asked for the manager. Then she said she cannot give us free drinks because we waited so long. Guess what we never asked you honey. Then the Margaritas were salty as hell. This mess only happened because the birthday girl wanted to try it again. She had fun one time. I remember I was there that Friday night. The band on Friday was great. But the service sucks!!!! They take your $15 at the door then say "To hell with you" Thats what we get. A waste of gas, time and energy. Oh. Its hot as hell. The fans dont work

I personally did not like this place. Drinks were terrible! You can tell the liquor is not real. I got a instant headache after the first sip. The venue is really dirty and unattractive! The saxophonist and his band was very unprofessional! They were eating on the stage, walking off stage in the middle of his performance and took a 10 minute recess but was gone for 30 minutes. Plus they were not entertaining at all! It was super boring! Im upset I wasted $15 for a cover charge! A place like that should be free to enter! Drinks were about $10! I do not recommend this venue!

Great live music and band. The overall ambiance is pretty good but it could definitely use some updating and cleaning. There were few menus available and many of the items on the menu had been blacked out. I only ordered appetizers but others in the group ordered meals and all seemed okay. Everything came out correct, fast and nice and hot. Our server was great. The cover charge is a little exorbitant for such an establishment ($15), should have been none or $5. We had a good time but I do not think I would return.

Tonights performance by LTanya "Sugarlips" Turner at Cafe 290 deserved 6 + stars. She was amazing. The food and drinks are always on point at 290 but TuKut ruined the whole experience for me and as a result of her interrupting Sugarlips performance twice and her obnoxious, disrespectful and unprofessional outbursts, It will be a long time before I support another show that she promotes; if ever. Yes. She was that bad.

DO ANYONE REMEMBER "CHEERS" THAT WAS MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF IT.ENTERING THE OTHER HALF OF THE CLUB WAS LIKE HAVING TWO SEPERATE DREAMS .NIGHT AND DAY TO BEST DESCIBE IT.THE JAZ THERE WAS PHENOMENAL. NOTHING LIKE GREAT MUSIC AND FINE DINING. THE OWNER WAS VERY CORDIAL. I WILL DEFINITELY REFER THIS PLACE TO ANYONE COMING INTO ATLANTA FOR THERE FIRST TIME,BECAUSE IT CERTAINLY WONT BE THERE LAST.(LA)
