The reason I have choose to rate this place as a 3 star venue is due to the courtesy of the staff. The staff has a pretentious attitude which is evident from the moment you enter the amphitheater to the minute you leave. We paid a lot of money for VIP tickets hoping that we would have a better than average experience, it was nothing close to being average. To be honest, I think we would have enjoyed lawn seats more. As soon as the last song finished we were rushed out of our spot and we were barley allowed enough time to gather our belongings, as we were saying our good byes, the supervisor as well as a few other staff members asked us to hurry up and leave. It would have been a much quicker good-bye, if the staff had not been yelling at us between conversation. It wasnt but 5 minutes after the show ended and we started being heckled by the staff and supervisor to hurry up leave. This not the first time I have a rude encounter with the staff. The last time I was there in 2008, I recall purchasing all access VIP tickets and was treated worse than the people on the lawn. I will probably not return to this venue again and will opt for Chastain, or Lakewood instead, the staff seems to be much more friendly and a lot less pretentious. As far the prices go they are in line with every venue ( overpriced but its to be expected.), the food is actually very good, Ive had a lot worse from restaurants that claim to have better food. Traffic is not bad, much better than average for the size venue. The directional signs could be better- it is a little hard to see them- but it really isnt much of an issue. Like I said, the main problem with this place is the majority of the staff members with attitudes. There are some very nice staff members here, but those seem to be far and few between. Until they can upgrade customer service, I will not return.

Took forever to get parked. The parking situation is awful and the parking attendants are very slow. After getting out of the car the parking attendant was immediately rude to me when i asked him a question. After walking to the theater It was very confusing which line was for paper tickets and which line was for paperless tickets. So I asked an employee and of course they had a very rude response with an angry tone. After getting in theater I asked how to get to the general admission/standing area. The employee I asked pointed out the line for general admission. At the end of the line they put a wristband on your wrist and you walk up to the sage. As i got to the end of the line the employee told me to "hurry up", Which was very rude. I got a wristband and walked up to the stage. I watched the concert and it sounded good. The venue itself was clean and the sound was good. After the bands played the staff keep getting all up on people and told them to leave the standing area. After waiting in a line and buying a t-shirt we were told we needed to leave or be arrested for criminal trespassing. Every single staff member I came in contact with was rude and that ruined my experience.

My rating is unique. You see, I havent even visited the venue yet but I want to recognize Deborah Honan in the front office for excellent customer/visitor service. Ill be travelling from Charlotte NC to the venue in a 21 RV. I was told by Ticketmaster that Parking Lot A would accommodate RVs. Ive traveled enough to know that its a good idea to confirm RV access with the venue prior to showing up and to attempt to obtain the best route to RV parking. Yesterday I called the venue and talked with Deborah Honan. SURE ENOUGH, she advised me that RV Parking is NOT GENERALLY PERMITTED if the show is a near sell out. Even though Deborah delivered bad news to me she still attempted to be very accommodating. AS A GENERAL RULE, I FOUND OUT THE HARD WAY THAT THIS VENUE DOES NOT PERMIT RVs and tailgating in any parking area with a grill or open flame is strictly prohibited. I ended up renting a parking area from a neighboring business and Deborah gave me detailed instructions on how to access the venue from my new tailgating spot. I appreciate her accommodating attitude even though she firmly adhered to the rule of no RVs allowed.

Great venue to see & hear a great band, group or entertainer perform in an open air arena. The seating for events provide a clear view of the stage without obstruction. The lawn seating looks too wornout and too far away from the stage with some possible obstruction of the stage. Overall, the sound system is very good. The seats are comfortable plus the views are good, if people arent standing up the whole time. The concessions are too pricey ( $10 for unlimited popcorn, $9 for hotdog, beer $18 a mug). Eat before you attend a concert. Saves time & money. The lawn seating is uncomfortable for the price. You do better purchasing a seat. The free parking works, if you get there early. We parked in a nearby office complex as directed to, by the venue personnel. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes to this venue. Youll be glad, you did. Be prepared to enjoy a great evening under the stars. My crew checked out THE ELEMENTS (EWF TOUR with Nile Rodgers & Chic). We were overwhelmed by an Awesome show!!

I had a very bad experience trying to see a show on 6/23/17. We left plenty of time to park and get to our seats, but once we get in the line of cars trying to get to parking it was a full hour before we were parked. The signage as to how to get to a given lot was sporadic and not effective. There were no police directing traffic at any intersections. When we did finally get to a lot to park we had a very long walk from the parking to the venue. So by the time we got to our seats we had missed the first half of the Doobie Brothers. Our seats where supposed to be "covered" seats in the orchestra section. I had never been to this venue before and didnt realize that "covered" isnt really covered at all because, unlike the Lakewood Amphitheatre, the roof is here is very very high up, so the rain just blows into the covered area and you get soaked and freezing. Other aspects of the venue were fine, but the parking and NOT covered seat were a huge disappointment.

One of the best venues in the country! I have been to hundreds of venues all across the country to see music and this is one of my favorites. The staff is fabulous! They have always been super nice & helpful. And the layout of the venue itself is great (at least up front), they have a great open area that is really nice for dancing because there is no incline like most & they never have seats to bump into (at least at the concerts I attend). The sound is pretty good at the back of the concrete floor area. I have been about 8 times & always end up at the back of floor right on the rails separating floor from handicap & VIP seats & the sound there is good and dancing room is good plus it is a great area to have a place to put any personal items. Every staff member seems to go out of their way to ensure patrons are having a good time, which is welcome change from most large outdoor venues.
