Superb World Class Museum! It’s hard to say what I love most: the glorious collection of “American decorative arts,” the story of Louis Comfort Tiffany’s life and legacy, the recreation of Laurelton Hall, the informative signs about craftsmanship, culture and history, or the free Friday afternoons from Nov. to April. And now I have to add the security guards/ experience enhancers. When I read the public reviews I noticed complaints about the security guards and cell phones, so upon entering we clarified the cell phone policy at the front desk. (You may take pictures, just not with a flash.) As I was examining a panel of stained glass, one of the guards struck up a conversation with me about it and briefly helped me appreciate a few other pieces in the room. Later I saw another guard help someone find a more comfortable chair while they waited for others in their party. I have never had a negative experience at the museum but it seems the security team is working hard to serve the visitors as well as keep the premise secure so that we can continue to enjoy and learn from the collection.

It was a very interesting place to visit, they had a lot of pieces. I would not go back again. The front desk was very nice and helpful, one guard was also very sweet and gently reminded my boyfriend to not touch the art. (By the bathrooms we found where we could which was nice). However, upon looking at a statue of Apollo I knew was broken and referring to the guide book and still not discovering what was missing from his hand I went to reference my phone. A very rude guard then told me to not take pictures. I explained I was looking on google for what the statue could be missing and showed him, he said again without care to not take pictures. I was obviously not taking pictures and it made me want to leave the museum right there. Further on in the exhibit they encourage you to use your phone, I would have loved too, but not after being spoken to like that, I did not want chastised for LOOKING DOWN AT MY PHONE to help me understand the artwork again. Many of the guards looked unhappy and like hawks. It did not feel welcoming to walk through the museum.

A wonderful museum in the downtown district of the beautiful town of Winter Park. The Morse museums Tiffany collection is absolutely phenomenal. I was not expecting this small museum, which I discovered by happenstance one day, in a small town to have such a large Tiffany collection. As a huge Tiffany fan and antique buff I enjoyed myself immensely and have visited 3 times to date since my first visit. My only complaint would have to be the staff. They were not very friendly especially in the gift shop. The shop was small but offered great gifts and we bought quite a few items. Unfortunately, I noticed as we were browsing, the staff kept staring at everyone as if someone was going to break or steal something. It made it very uncomfortable for some of the visitors, myself included.

The arts in this museum are beautiful. However, if you are BLACK you will get followed around as if you are going to steal something. This short, chubby woman with brunette hair, that is necklength, asked my husband, do you have a ticket to belong in here. I waited to see whether she would ask anyone else, but she didnt. She then stared us down as if we didnt belong. I wouldnt care if this museum didnt have paintings of Jesus in it, who is the epitome of love, but it does. I think it is an insult to have my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in a museum where there are such racist people working there. After visiting there, it led me to pray for those people so that they can experience the true love of Christ and not to stereotype people just because of the color of their skin.

I agree with one of the other reviewers. This museum had so many beautiful pieces. I loved the glass room in particular. But the staff made my time there bitter. Most of them are older, and can be very rude. My school had a class trip to winter park for this museum because we are in AP Art History. And of course my generation, we tend to our cell phones more often then adults. But still that does not give the staff the right to bombard us about not taking any photos ever when we are in a room with NO art around and we wanted to take a group picture. Whoever goes to this museum, just try to have fun. Youll enjoy it, but not entirely. Oh, also, their gift shop room has so many cute things. thats definitely a thing you could check out as well!

This is a wonderful museum. I saw beautiful art and artifacts from the Charles Morse family living around 1900. There are paper guides for each collection (arranged in different areas) or if you have time, you can take a guided tour. The beauty of the glass made by Tiffany was awesome. This is a quiet sort of museum, nothing really for children specifically, so I wouldnt take young kids. An 8 year old could enjoy it. It is a "look, dont touch" place. They have several security personnel, who are friendly, but clearly there to protect. They have a small gift shop. In our busy "got to be entertained" world, this was a lovely diversion for those who like to read the signs and think about life in a different time. Five stars!

This was a really cool place! I went with my mother and sister in-law to check it out. If you love Tiffany glass and history this is definitely a place to check out while in Orlando. You walk through and look a exquisite stained glass first. Then you go and check out smaller pieces and vases. Then, there is an entire room that was a church I believe - it was very very cool. In the back you sit under a recreated outdoor porch and you look up and just cant quite believe that these people had this much crazy money. There is a small room where you can read about the family and their history and some of the lavish parties that they used to throw.

The Morse Museum is the most interesting collection of Tiffany I have ever seen! The representation of the artifacts rescued from Laurelton Hall are lively and stunning! Having the freedom of walking freely through the galleries and having all the time needed to study the Tiffany lamps and the leaded glass is a Joy ! I have seen the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. I visited the Musée du Luxembourg in Paris in 2010. An now this! I love the colors, the reflection of nature, the Art ... Thanks for giving me this pleasure of life. Aline,

Great museum with may beautiful exhibits but the staff is very rude and unfriendly. They kept reminding us that there is no touching even when we never torched anything. We are too old to be treated like kids. This is particular embarrassing when you bring friends from out-of-town so they can enjoy the museum and this is how you are greeted. I dont even remember the last time we were made to feel this embarrassed. Never going there again.

My daughter and I were spending a day in Winter Park after riding the SunRail. We found this beautiful museum not far from the train station. They were having a free open house, so we stopped in and spent about an hour. Wonderful collection, especially the Tiffany glass and the ceramics. The Tiffany Chapel was the highlight of the visit for us. Definitely worth a visit if youre on Park Avenue!
