Always was a fan of this place. Its been a huge part of my life since I was a child. You wouldnt believe how distraught I was when I heard they were on bring of shutting down because of poor ticket sales. That definitely has been a turnaround point because the last couple years theyve improved in so many ways. I would give you brief descriptions on what the center has to offer, however a good 3/4ths of the exhibit is interchangeable for new exhibits. The main standard exhibit is the first floor. Great kids area, the kids center is very enveloping. The reptile and amphibians exhibit is also great. Been there for the longest time. Since I cant comment on the other floors, as many are changed for different exhibits after a time. They keep things refreshed. However, I can tell you they have great ideas for new attractions and I love seeing the new things. My favorite exhibit was the body exhibit with the cadavers. That was many moons ago, but you never know what they will offer next. Dont forget to check out the huge IMAX videos they offer during your visit. No extra cost, just note the next show times on your pamphlet when you come in!

WARNING: There are kids here, so if you are uncomfortable with kids running around, this is NOT the place for you. Had an amazing time!! Although another kid grabbed my sons cape from his Batman shirt and got it stuck in the ball plinko board thing, but the staff was super professional and took all my info down. They said I should hear something back from the OSC very soon. There are tons of things to do. Lots of hands on activities for any age of child. Its even fun for adults! So much to check out. From oranges to dinosaurs, from the human genome to Florida wildlife! The store is amazing and has lots of different items to choose from. The store items can run a bit expensive but some are totally worth it!! They also have tons of activities that happen almost every half hour, more so on the hour. Lots of different 3D movies and even some new releases! They have 2 different theaters. They also have a Subway that is fresh and amazing! Dedicated and hardworking employees that work there. Such an amazing time. Will definitely be back for more visits in the future ❤

Cant say enough good about the Science Center. Were on our second year as annual passholders. I often go with just my 3 year old daughter, but we sometimes all go and bring my 8 month old son. Theres loads to do for both of them. You can seriously bring a kid of almost any age here and theyll enjoy it. Kids Town is a huge hit and almost brand new. They did a major addition for this and they absolutely nailed it. You can spend hours just there and lose track of time. Some additional/better food options would be great. Right now theres only a Subway. Plenty of room to sit with a packed lunch though. For parking, try to get a spot on the second floor. The walkway to the building is connected there. Its only $5 if youre not a member for the whole day. If you can get there just before it opens youll have the pick of parking spots. Give it 30 minutes and itll start getting pretty busy. This place is super popular so earlier is better if you have kids.

Absolutely wonderful experience as far as the exhibits, accessibility, staff especially! wheelchair accessible for my son, even got VIP service via freight elevator so we didnt have to wait for the crowded regular one. we were there on medical in the area and made this a mini vacation. two of my grown kids were with us too and had a blast. theres something there for all ages. well worth the admission fee! plus its right next to the hospital and ronald mcdonald house. wish the drink machines were the kind that took debit cards as the subway is the only place for food/drinks and was never a line less than 100 people. if youre spending the day there, you could go out and walk next door to the hospital cafeterias which are truly amazing. we cant wait to go back to the science center and in fact are buying a pass. PS they participate in Bank of AMerica museums on us program. Giving this place 5 stars, wish I could give it more!

I expected a little more than what we got from descriptions on their website. Observatory isnt really worth checking out during the daytime as it is only looking at the sun through a solar filter which is just an orange ball. Less than spectacular. Was very busy on BOA free days and there wasnt enough supplies for all the kids to use. Many interactive displays were lacking in amount of pieces for people to use because they didnt have staff to take things apart for others to experience them. Couldnt find husbands bank card on our joint account but had mine as well as an online statement proving he was on the account but, they still made him pay full price as compared to free for BOA customers because he didnt have his card from the account. That seemed a bit extreme. I think they should have given us the discount with all the proof we provided as it was a joint account. As if its coming out of their pockets or something.

OSC is an engaging attraction for children of all ages, bringing fun exhibits that teach science concepts. Its friendly for visitors of all abilities. The level of staff interaction is very high, with special programs throughout the day. OSC has recently renovated the childrens portion of the building, which is now top-notch! My children will play for an entire day! They also offer films throughout the day and a family film around 5:15 Thurs-Sunday. The yearly membership pass is the ultimate best deal, and includes two adults and ALL children under 18 living in the home. Two extra adults can be added to the pass for$25 each. As of April 2007, the cost of membership is $135, and includes free parking in the garage and discounts at the gift shop. The enclosed bridge that connects the parking garage to OSC not only shields you from the elements, but allows you to watch vehicles pass under on Princeton street.

I was very disappointed and let down with my recent visit to the Orlando Science Center. First of all there were kids and summer camp groups everywhere. I just about ran into a kid or had to dodge a running/screaming one as I was walking around. As far as the "exhibits" went, I was very disappointed. Its always good to have hands on opportunities at museums but I feel that it was a bit overkill. I did not feel like it was worth my $40 visit. The place was dirty, every floor we went to there were screaming kids running around everywhere, some of the exhibit/interactive areas looked destroyed and because of that I didnt get to enjoy my visit very much at all. Its a great place for kids but thats about it. It pretty much felt like a glorified daycare center. Will not be going back to the Orlando Science Center; what a shame.
