We went to Plumbrook Golf Course today (7-12-13) for an 18-hole round of golf. At the turn we went into the clubhouse for a beer. All was well until the bartender found out we were at the turn and told us rudely, "You cant sit in the bar if your at the turn. You have to go out on the course! Otherwise youll lose your place". Then he proceeded to pour our drinks into plastic cups. Its not his business if we lose our place. My wife is diabetic and needs to eat regularly. He told us we cant have anything to eat unless we ordered it ahead. This was extremely rude! We golf at least once a week, sometimes two or three times, and at different courses most every time. This was our third time at Plumbrook this season, but it will definitely be the last! There was no need to speak to us in that manner. Perhaps the bartender could use a little training!

Aside from the fact that the carts are beat-up and the clubhouse smells like a bowling alley, the management team are a bunch of rude thugs! The course is so poorly managed that they forcible ejected players in front of us who they claimed were playing slow. Since we were way under 2 hours per 9 holes, they should have been as well. I’ve never see anything like it in my 25 years of playing golf! Come to find out it was the Club Owner who kicked them out! I felt really bad for how they were treated. I guess, managing tee times properly seem to elude them. I wouldn’t go back… especially since Rambler is across the street!

Id say this is the minimum of what youd expect out of a good golf course. Decent design, good pace of play, ok food, cart girl could be better at getting to everyone, and fair price. Good choice if you dont have to drive too far.

Its a good course but the prices are a little steep. The course can play extremely slow on some days and others you can zip through 18. Greens are far from the best in Southeast Michigan but theyre decent for the location.
