Excellent park for Jogging/Walking/Biking, a complete loop on the paved track is about 1.25 miles, it has other unpaved section with a dirt trail of about ~ half a mile. There is plenty of shade at noon if the sun is an issue on the unpaved trail. It has a section to bring your pooch which is divided for big and small dogs, if you are nervous having your small chihuahua (a barking one with attitude) next to the big dogs is perfect as you can keep it safe from the big dogs. It has two restrooms, on the north and south east side of the paved track with water fountains, the north fountain is actually cold water if you need to stop for a quick drink or get the sweat out of your eyes :-) It also has a small playing ground for small kids and a huge open space that can be used to play any sports that requires distance. There are two ponds that fall within the boundaries of the park. The northern pond offers fishing. It has a community center "The Hunt Community Center" with a small fitness room that has free lifting weights, a couple of treadmills, an Elliptical, showers and a few other machines that I cant name. The center offers a computer room and zumba classes for a minimum fee if interested. I believe the membership is less than $20/ years for residents and $32/year for non-residents outside city limits.

Great place for your morning run, jog, or just walk. They have a couple of workout stations along the West and South ends of the track, plenty of areas for the kids to get active as well and even a dog park with water fountains in case your pets get thirsty. Like most parks there are bungalows for barbeques and Bday parties, open fields for soccer or volley ball and a small nature trail, with boardwalk, along the North end that circumvents a pond. They recently constructed a facility close to the East entrance that offers a variety of exercise classes for both young and older along with a small equipment room. Be advised that this place gets packed on the weekends during the summer months so come and join us!...

Had an opportunity to take my dog to this park for a run during a weekday. Ive only been here for tailgating purposes only for Bucs or Bulls games at Ray Jay.....ive been missing out. This ideally located city park by the stadium has playgrounds galore , lots of shade, shelters with picnic tables, a two plus mile asphalt jogging path around the park, and even a nice sized dog park with separated play areas for small dogs and those big ones - also ideally shaded (a must in Florida 10 mos every year)

Great place to walk my dogs, my 12 year old son loves the open field grassy area to play soccer and still likes the big kids play ground area. Also the hot dog car located at the park has the best coustumer service and the best Italian hot dogs ever... I moved out of the area to Town and Country and till this day I still make the 15 to 20 minute drive on the weekends to go to Al Lopez Park, regardless that I have a park 5 minutes away from our new house...

Great park for a walk or a jog. There are some off pavement trails as well and a fenced dog park. The is also a community center, picnic pavilions with grills and larger open spaces for soccer and football. This park has a staple in Tampa for quite sometime and Ive gone jogging there more than I can count. Its used by many people in the community and I have always felt safe and comfortable.

Le hace falta mejorar el parque infantil, pintar las áreas de fiesta y hay que tener precaución porque puedes encontrarte un cocodrilo caminando, lo que lo hace peligroso para niños y mascotas.

AL Lopez Dog Park. A really friendly, clean park to visit with your dog. Small dogs have their own area to run free with out a leash as do large dogs. You can also walk them around the entire park on a leash. It is not in good condition right now due the rains we have had recently so give it another week and please help your best friend have a really great experience by visiting the park.

Not the same anymore. I dont know what the park rangers are even doing but last week I visited this park and as I was walking along the grass across the little shelters you rent out, there was a group of young adults smoking cannabis RIGHT ACROSS A CHILDRENS PARTY! You could smell it most definitely from there. What the hell are we exposing our children too?!

Love this park! Huge grass fields, with sidewalks/trails throughout entire park. Lots of picnic areas, and beautiful oak trees that provide plenty of shade. Great for walking dogs, running/walking and riding bikes. They have two dog parks, but the small park is ridiculously small, lol. Great spot. Right across from Jesuit High school.

Great park almost every weekend they are hosting an event in the back field. The walking track is huge and offers great scenery. The equipment is new and well maintained. I wish we had that equipment when I was a kid. Facilities are clean for a park and surprisingly they have electric available in the pavilions for your electronics.

Un excelente lugar para ir a caminar y ejercitarse, llevar los niños a jugar, disfrutar de la vista al lago... Ver los animales, en especial al cocodrilo...

This park seems like it has nearly everything; a huge loop good for jogging and walking, gazebos for parties, a play area for children, a nice sized dog park, and even back paths in the woods for a nice stroll. Bonus is free parking, bathrooms, and especially water fountains and an outside shower for when its blistering hot.

Place is basically a dumping ground and the upkeep is sad. Litter in the water and on the ground although there are enough trash/recycle bins available. Youre not allowed to fly a drone or several other things but, people feed the alligators. The alligator is far more dangerous than a drone.

Not closed on weekends; googles times must refer to the offices hours as I left at 9:30pm on Sunday and the gate was open. POKEMON GO players: this is a *Machop hotspot.(as of 8/24/16) We caught 15 in about an hour and a half of walking. Multiple gyms and stops. Good luck and have fun.

Wonderful place to bring your pooch! Always meet nice people and dogs of all kinds, who almost always get along very well. The dogs can be quite entertaining as they play so sometimes you can just sit back and take in the fun as you sit at the picnic benches in the shade.
