Love this natural and peaceful gem of a Nature Park! There is an ~ 2.4 mile walking trail which loops around the lake. Some parts of the original trail are still flooded from the 2015 flood but the staff have done an awesome job in cutting new trails to connect to the old trail sections that are now dry. Many of the newer sections are narrower trails thereby providing that "being in the forest feeling" with an added benefit of having some shade from the trees; great on a sunny day. This is a nice park to walk, unwind and experience nature. It is wonderful for dog walking since there are 2 water stations on the trail complete with a water bowl for the dogs. There are also a few picnic tables. Very few remain of this type of nature park that the surrounding communities can enjoy!

I was very disappointed with the park and do not feel that it is being maintained. The park would good for walking your dog but not much more. They do provide baggies for your dog which helps in keeping the park. The name of the park should be renamed to "Rogers Park". The lake portion of the park is completely inaccessible for fishing and canoeing. Several huts were half way underwater which is unusual due to that its January and we are not in the rainy season. There are fire hoses running from a second parking lot that has been closed. I do not feel it is safe to take small children under the age of 12.

This is a great park with a nice walking trail that is shaded with all the trees. You can bring your kayak/canoe and take a spin around the lake. I believe the trail is over 2 miles around the lake. Ive never made it too far because my dog is old but she loves to go for walks here. Its pet friendly and they have a water spot for dogs and they provide doggie bags for waste pick up. Even though I always see cars in the lot I hardly ever see anyone.

After two years absence due to flooding caused by pumping water into Lake Rogers, I was able to complete the revised BLUE trail loop today, While happy to complete the loop, it will take some getting used to, as the old trail was really nice. Less than half of the old trail was salvaged, the rest is still under water, and will continue to be flooded. So the revised trail is cut higher, parts of it along the park border.

Nice park, small entrance, huge park. There is some flooding and muddy trails so come prepared for that but theres an untamed feel about it that makes you feel more connected with nature. There are some shelters and gathering areas as well. Its a nice place to unwind and get some zen.

[Note: currently (Jan 2016) partially closed due to flooding - check website or call] Pretty nice little nature-oriented park. A good loop hike around the lake with mostly shaded trail. A great place to give geocaching a try too. It isnt a built-up park with a lot amenities.

What a find!! We were looking for a trail to walk/train the dogs and did we find one. A wonderful, quiet, well maintained little park right in our "backyard" of Odessa. Facilities, as well as shady, well marked trails made for a great experience for us and the dogs.

I brought my 7 year old son here to ride off road. Mosty car width trails. Some sugar sand in places but not too much. He did fine. Rode about 2 miles, but there were more trails. The main trail is well marked. Nice place for a hike or short off-road like ride.

This is one of the nicer parks in the area. Low amount of pollution, not alot of small children, peaceful, and fairly large. Highly recommend it to any avid joggers or florida hikers.

Great place to bring our dogs and get some hiking in! Edit: we did see what looked to be a rattlesnake on the trail one day. Just keep your eyes open; this is a heavily wooded area.

Lovely park for a stroll with the dog. Surrounded by city noise - roads and planes - but an amazing little gem that isnt too remote.

Want to feel one with nature choose a larger park. The trails are shallow and theyre are many great ones close by.
