Came here to watch The Martian on a Friday night at 7:25PM. I had already reserved the tickets online and wanted to exchange my tickets from Thursday night to Friday night, but they cant do the exchange over the phone or online because I used a promo code, so I went in-person on a Wednesday afternoon around 2:30PM to get the exchange done. The place felt quiet and empty. I was the only person in line. Customer Service was good. The girl did what she could to exchange my tickets, including going over to the manager to get permission. There is a banner hanging outside that says this place just opened. Its my first time going to this theater and I chose it because of the good reviews. I also notice on their website that they have recliner seats too (thats new to me!), so I was curious to experience it all. I told my date about this and he said he didnt care except watch the movie with me, that is, until he saw the seats in-person (more about this later). We arrived around 7:15PM and the theater lobby is now bustling with people. There is a line of about 10 people for tickets. I walked past the girl collecting tickets because I didnt see her and almost reached the theater room had I not stopped because I was confused where to show my tickets and get the 3D glasses. They really need to do something about making it more obvious about where to enter if you already have a ticket. The lobby is very small and the theater room seems smaller than the bigger theaters, but it felt clean (I did have to sweep a crumb off my chair seat) overall, extremely spacious, and nice. Our seats are already chosen and reserved in advance. As we sat in our recliner seats, my date was in love. He was surprised that the seats were this nice (theyre super plush, spacious, and leathery feel) and can recline with your legs outstretched. And even with the legs outstretched, there is still room for people to walk by in front. Thats how spacious and nice this theater was! This was a whole new, premium theater experience and we really love it. My date wants to come back again; thats how much he loves it. I have and would highly recommend coming here to watch a movie, if not to experience watching a movie in a plush recliner chair.

Would have given this theater a 0/5 if I had the option. Terrrible from the beginning. Purchase my tickets with assigned seating yesterday for this mornings 9:20 showing of the Transformers opening weekend. No one at the front desk to receive my scan pass for seating while two AMC staff were dealing with one person trying to pay cash at the counter for a paper ticket stub. Over to concessions: we were greater with "screw you I wish I wasnt here and I also wish you werent here" attitude. Made the purchase, one popcorn and four drinks. To the coke freestyle machines - none of the drink options we tried worked. Nothing special, just orange Fanta, lemonade and Coke. Into the theater to our reserved seats - auditorium 3, seats 7-10. My family sits next to each other in a normal pattern and surprise - my daughters seat doesnt recline. Out to the manager as I miss the previews and the beginning of the movie. I call AMC and open a complaint then ask for he onsite manager. The manager suggests that we move seats because he could fix the issue but he cant now because the movie has already begun. Weak management, lazy employees. AMC 8 Sunrise in Sunrise, FL SUCKS!

My husband, 2 daughters (4 & 6), son (9) and I went today to see Kungfu Panda 3 at 4:30 and I didnt get into my seat until 4:45. Well start with the positive first. We arrived at the theatre at 4:10, the theatre was nice with bar great for date night with the hubby and nice reclining seating. The concession and cleanliness of the theatre were questionable and I wish I wouldve said something while I was there l. Took 15min. to get chicken tenders and fries that cost $20 and sat around for 10 minutes while the attendant tended to the line. I stood to the side looking for ketchup in the condiments and had to pick up 3 off the floor because my daughter wont eat her hot dog without it. Had to give my pretzel back not sure if they drenched it in butter but was greasy, cold and hard for $6+. Walking into our theatre the trash bins outside were overflowing with trash. To top it off I dropped my chicken and fries holding it with one hand and trying to clean in garbage in our seats with the other. I was not happy at all. I shouldve said something while we were there.

My husband does not accompany us to the movies often but when he does we go to AMC Sunrise 8. Christmas day found our family here enjoying Rogue One. I like that you can pick your seats and purchase your tickets online before you get to the theater. A quick swipe of the the QR code on my daughters phone had us in our seats within minutes of our arrival. Speaking of the seats, I think it is my favorite part of this theater. They recline all the way back. They are so super comfy. There is also plenty of room in front of you so that if someone needs to get past you they dont step on you like at other movie theaters. For those so inclined there is a bar with mixed drinks, wine, and beer. I know some people complain that they dont serve a full menu of food here but that is fine with me. I dont really like people chomping in my ear or spilling their food on me during a movie. They do have the standard popcorn and candy snacks. Bathrooms are clean and plentiful and staff has been courteous. Until we get an iPic closer to try, I am quite content at the AMC.

Great if you live in the area - and they DO feature reclining seats, this theater has been our go-to for a while now. The concessions stand is slow slow slow, the bathrooms are definitely not the cleanest, and they seem to be maintained infrequently if at all. Last time we went there they were closed "due to a power outage". The lights were on inside. Wed made special plans to see Wonder Woman with the Mother-in-law and that kind of screwed up our afternoon. They said they couldnt even give us a refund for the tickets though we were able to get our money back by calling AMC directly. The theaters are pretty nice. The reclining seats are comfortable and they usually keep it cool enough in the theaters that Im comfortable. A word of caution: I dont think they ever wipe out the cup holders. Bring extra napkins to wipe them out yourself or you may regret it...

Never had a bad experience here. The theatre has reclining chairs with extra space, assigned seating means you always have the seat you want without having to worry about scavenging for a chair, and the prices are reasonable. They have a great deals if you become an AMC member. My favorite is Tuesday tickets at any time are $5. This theatre also has a small bar so you can order adult drinks along with standard movie snack options. Bathrooms are clean and fellow movie watchers that go here are respectful of the movie experience (no texting or talking on the phone mid-show). Kudos to the staff and customer service. One time the fire alarm went off during the last 10 minutes of a movie we watched, and not only did they rewind it but they also gave us free tickets as an apology.
