I was surprised by how entertained I was. Theres no question that Cirque du Soleil is popular, but thats frequently a good indicator that I will not enjoy something. I have contrary tastes and usually shun anything "current" or hip. And I am biased against anything French or too artsy/edgy for the sake of being artsy/edgy. That often describes French culture in my book. Circuses have suffered a popularity decline for legitimate reasons, despite their redeeming qualities. So if you enjoy the spectacle of human athleticism and good clowning, but dislike animal exploitation, then Cirque is perfect for you. There are things about the show that I found slightly annoying, but not enough to distract once the show got rolling. For example, the seats are tighter and closer than economy class flights. Im 60" tall and had zero leg room, so anyone taller needs to choose a seat on a walkway. The man sitting next to me was overweight, so we each sat in uncomfortable positions to accommodate his girth. The music is at times unnecessarily loud, and the lights occasionally blind the crowd because they attempt some "rock/pop concert" lighting effects. Ive no idea why they repeatedly blast our retinas with stationary spotlights during the show. To compensate for the uncomfortable aspects, I put ear buds in when the volume hurt and took my time getting up after the show, along with other means of reducing my chronic pain (no innuendo intended). My more-healthy-than-me family was not uncomfortable at all. On the other hand, Cirque gathers together remarkable performers and athletes. The woman that lent vocals to the live music was incredible! The band played perfectly with the action, seeming to never miss a beat. The clowns were hugely entertaining, perfectly distracting the crowd during seating and when performers need time to prepare the next act. The high wire act was a bit typical, but in a good way. The bicycle riders were impressive, the trampoline act was fun. The inventive way that lifts were used added to the show. I had fun imagining the backstage crew and noticing tiny details like athletes signaling to each other. Typical of Disney quality (Disney does not own Cirque), the backstage action is successfully hidden from the audience. People like me enjoy glimpses into the way a show works as much as the show itself. Its amazing how many performers there were. In circuses, performers play several roles each, but here were dozens of people each with their one job. That specialization comes through in near-perfection on stage (there were a few missed tricks, but how could there not be?). Lastly is ticket price. I attended with a Disney cast member and so had an excellent discount for our tickets, which otherwise would have been much more than I was willing to spend. In fact, Ive lived within 1.5 hours of WDW and gone there many times, but because of cost, Ive never seen Cirque. Im glad I did. You get what you pay for, and this is true of the fantastic show I witnessed. From the musicians to the clowns, from the bicycles to the flyers, we saw a show full of remarkable performers at the top of their game. Money and time well spent! Another piece of advice, as suggested by the box office: if you want to avoid craning your neck, do not sit close the the stage. Our seats in the risers were absolutely perfect for the show as a whole. A lot of action takes place in the air, so those with neck problems should avoid floor seats. Find any discounts you can and see this show! Cirque is leaving Disney Springs (née Downtown Disney) at the end of 2017. The place was near capacity on a Thursday 6pm show, so but tickets early.

Outstanding show, not a bad seat in the house . Truly amazing experience, only the second cirque weve ever been to (my 14 yo daughters first) and we all 3 loved it! Beautiful theater, delightful performers/actors, really neat storyline, and not a bad seat in the house. . Well, I say that, and while I cant find my confirmation to show where we stayed, I know it was category 3. Spoke to a wonderful rep who helped me pick the seats who said that where we sat was actually better than the closer ones because we wouldnt have to crane our necks to look upward to see what was overhead, and I couldnt have agreed more. I definitely advise you do the same and talk to someone about where to sit and, at least consider that aspect vs sitting up close if thats what youre considering. . PS - Yes, they serve cocktails in the lobby but dont do as we did and arrive expecting anything more than a person standing at a portable podium with minimal, selections that are overpriced. If youre like us and looking forward to that at the end of a long day at the park, budget time to grab something somewhere else beforehand.

Great Venue on Disneys property in Orlando. The show has its own building with great seating views. The rows and seats are a little tight (with full size adults next to you) but still worth the admission price. We had a great view of the entire stage from section 205 row JJ seats 1-5. I would recommend this section and the section to the left of 205, but if you want to be closer to the performers then youll need the lower sections closer to the stage. Some of the performances included attendees in those lower sections. The show lasts about 90 mins and its continuous action throughout. If you are a fan of Cirque De Soleil shows then youll want to see this one. Ive seen several Cirque shows in Vegas and a few traveling shows and this one ranks in the top five. Dont forget to visit the retail store on the lower level for souvenirs before or after the show. Have fun!

This is one show you should NOT MISS if you are in Orlando. We had just about half a day in Orlando so it wasnt possible for us to see Disneyland or Universal but we were told by almost everyone to make sure to watch this and we were not disappointed at all. Cirque Du Soleil literally means (acc to Google Translate) "Circus of the Sun". There are some amazing performances by various artists. There is story telling, there is dance, there are performances and a lot more. At almost all the time, there is so much happening on stage that you are confused where to focus - which is something the show can improve. I loved some of the acts - especially the ones with the bowls (performed by a bunch of very young girls) and the one with the cycles. Overall, a great show - havent seen anything like this in my life yet. Great!!

Entertaining, but very very dated show. This was my first Cirque du Soliel show and I was expecting to be blown away. Unfortunately I was not. First, the seats in the theater are TINY, super narrow seats. The acts were mediocre for the most part, all things that Ive seen at other shows a hundred times. Aerial acts - seen it. Bike stunts? Is it 1998? The Chinese yo-yo girls are adorable and amazing, but again, its been done to death. The ONE outstanding act that Ive never seen anyplace else was the trampoline act with the stage piece in the middle. THAT was impressive. The rest of the show was dated. Glad I got a reduced ticket price. I would not pay the regular $90 ticket price to see this show. Maybe you have to go to Vegas to see the updated shows...
