Intimate theater in love with film and dedicated to providing a great experience. Great place to catch independent and limited release movies. The one caveat: its a small theater with only one screen, so it sells out quickly. Its a MUCH better bet to buy tickets online ahead of time. If youre going with friends, make sure they know too or they may get turned away.

This is a great spot for Downtown Akron. The film selections are always of great taste and a really good variety. I also want to add that the bar has a great collection of craft beer, top shelf liquor, coffee, espresso, etc. I would definitely recommend this place to others, but be sure to order tickets ahead of time, they sell out quickly.

Absolutely amazing film selections. The world needs a gem like this, and The Nightlight never fails to provide that piece of culture that is far too often lost in pop culture. The new seats are AMAZING, and the staff truly cares about the moviegoers. (Also appreciate the stellar concession offerings.) Keep doing you, guys!

Nice little theater to see movies that wont come to your local multiplex, whether theyre classics or modern indie films. The audience is interested and respectful. The operators and employees care, and it shows. Definitely buy tickets online via their website before you go, as the theater is relatively small.

This is just what Akron needs, it is a great venue, great atmosphere, and a very friendly staff. They show a wide variety of films, many of which you would not find in any other theaters in the area. I recommend The Nightlight to all of my friends, and feel great heading there to support a local business.

Friendly, not robotic, adult beverages, no children (not that I do not love kids but they should not be squirming behind me while I am watching a serious movie), cozy, diverse selection of movies and in the heart of Akron - this place should be packed every night!

We are members of the theater. A great place to see independent films in a small, cozy environment. Food, drinks, and snacks available, but we really love getting to see films that are not the standard fare in most theatres.
