We traveled 60 miles to visit this zoo on vacation in NC and there was not a single thing more interesting than the zoo near our home in NY. Their website was very misleading. It had pictures of giraffes, but we didnt see a single one. While we were walking, we came across a snake that had gotten out of its area (which we found out afterwards. . . Thank God it wasnt the copperhead!) Definitely not worth the extra $ as a tourist attraction. Your better off walking the free nature walk.

Summertime is a great time as it is cool in the mountains here. Beyond being a "zoo" this nature preserve works to repopulate the local environment. Wolves! Bobcats! Otters are super cute. Ages eight and under or 9 + can do a scavenger hunt for a souvenir. Call ahead or check online as your zoo membership may offer free or reduced admission. We got in free with a Greenville Zoo membership.

I love being a member, I can go and explore different areas each time. If the otters are sleeping, I head toward the wolves. The Center has made great renovations in the recent past with lots of activities for children and a natural interactive park from the local Rotary Club. .

We took the "behind the scenes tour". Kids had a great time. We really enjoyed the unique perspective of the animals. The WNC nature center is doing interesting Things.

It is a fun place but not really alot of hands on stuff for kids. They use to have a petting zoo for kids but anymore needs to be updated

For the size, its perfect. Extremely natural enclosures. The play centers are good for any age. We spent the whole afternoon.

Nice place with or without kids. Lots of animals in open enclosures. Farm animals too, and who does not like farm animals.

The animals are amazing. At 4 the rangers were playing with the wolves. The predators will be out at that yime

Small, but nice. All native wildlife. The only thing lacking was shade over the picnic area.
