I travel frequently and stay at hotels approximately 3-4 nights every week. I am a member of Hilton H Honors family. I stayed for three nights at Hilton Ocala Florida, on December 15th through 17th 2009. I was given three complimentary coupons for breakfast since my membership status is “Diamond VIP.” On Dec 15th I experienced that remote control was not working. I took my remote control to the front desk. A gentleman replaced the batteries. Volume buttons were working okay but channel buttons were still not working. I decided to ignore it. I put yogurt and juice in the refrigerator in case if I need to eat or drink during the night since I am diabetic and noticed next day that both items were spoiled. On Dec 16th I went for breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant on first floor. I got scrambled eggs and hash brown. Scrambled eggs were very watery and tasteless. Hash brown was very soggy and tasteless as well. I think both items were not seasoned well and cooked to perfection.. On Dec 17th I went back to eat breakfast and told receptionist that my yesterday’s experience of breakfast was not good. She apologized and assured me that I will have a better experience today. She recommended me to order from menu, offered me a table and left. A black gentleman came and asked me if I would like to have some coffee. I replied, “Yes and requested veggie-scrambled eggs with hash brown.” While I was waiting for food I got some fresh fruit in a bowl from buffet bar. Same gentleman came back to me and said, “You can not order from menu and have fruit from buffet bar.” I was embarrassed. I put my coupon on the table, apologized and decided to leave. He asked me while I was leaving, “do you want to cancel the order?’ I replied, “Yes.” On Dec 18th I was checking out at front desk. Norma was attendant; I gave her my 3rd coupon and keys. She asked me about my stay and if I want to get breakfast. Then I told her about my bad experience. She wrote on a paper about malfunctioning of remote control and refrigerator. She apologized that I was not served breakfast. I mentioned her that I will file a complaint against this property on the internet. She smiled and replied, “I don’t blame you.” On Dec 22nd I called Hilton Honor main telephone number and reported the incident. I received a phone call from same lady who checked me out and she mentioned me that she remembers everything I told her. She apologized and asked me, “Would you be happy if I add some points on your Hilton Honors account or I can offer you a little discount for one night?” I asked her to send me an email what ever she wants to offer me. She promised to send me an email but I did not receive her email. After a few minutes I received an email from Hilton Honors Customer Service Department same lady who took my complaint saying that you have been contacted and issue is resolved. I am very un-happy with the situation and the way Hilton Honors Customer Service and Hilton hotel treated me. I have been very loyal customer since 2005 but I will try not to stay at Hilton properties any more because their customer service is unjustifiably very poor. I have been noticing that their food quality is not as good as used to be. I hope my experience will help you to make a right choice.

Customer service at the front desk was exceptional. We visit Florida bi weekly and normally stay at the holiday inn express in inverness, they were booked solid along with every other place close by,so we end up having to book here for double the price,we didnt mind the price as we needed a decent place to stay. Other then the nice pool, the nice lady that checked us in and the nice clean gym, this place was lacking several thdirty. To pay over 200.00 a night to rest i would think that a hotel with this name would take pride in the housekeeping department. I did take pictures and will post here if it allows me to. Although the room smelled clean, it definitely was not. All of the baseboards were covered in dirt build up and hair, the carpet not only felt dirty but had stains, the closet was covered in dirty hair, lint and pieces of paper, there was hair on the toilet, and splatters of something in the bathroom on the wall, the hand rails in the shower had handprints from the previous guest. The beds were way too firm, and they didnt bother us so much as the pillow had yellow stains on it. Both the bathroom door and the door to the room had built up gunk on the doorknobs and prints all over, which easily wiped off when i wiped with a damp towel. So there were some good and bad, unfortunately i would have rather had poor customer service over a dirty room.

Marriage ceremonies at Hilton Ocala give many options to a the bridal couple. Ive created then officiated country theme weddings at the barn, romantic vows in the gazebo, contemporary ceremonies at the pool, theme weddings in their wedding pavilion (one even had a Huge Chinese Dragon!) and elegant traditional marriages in the ballrooms. I recommend the Hilton b/c although Im hired by the couple, I see myself and hear their feedback of how the staff gave them professional attention and personal care. Also, its easier for the couple to have everything in the same place, the rehearsal & dinner, wedding ceremony, reception and a place where your family and guests will comfortably stay (no worries about drinking then driving) and of couse, the Horse! Hilton Ocala has a horse drawn carriage that brings the Bride then whisks the couple away after their vows. Contact Our Simple Ceremony to create your marriage, present it before your guests and complete the legal paperwork. Check out Hilton Ocala for your wedding day!

The staff was very pleasant. HOWEVER the rooms were dated (I was informed Hilton was upgrading this hotel) my room had dark carpet stains throughout. Dont have a problem with dated, steam clean the carpet periodcally, this was insulting. Traveling with a toddler it was uncomfortable with him on the floor. We were enjoying the pool,(btw the entire deck needs pressure washing) the service/pool employee proceeded to wash the tiles while my family was in the water, so not good. There were so many pets in this hotel, thought may may be there was a pet convention. On my floor a was very disrespectful pet parent, (no leash it was in his hand , dog dashing out the door running down the hall). Another barking after 10 pm and crying before 8am. Oh yeah, the sounds from power tools Can annoy you as well if youre sleeping in. WASTED POINTS!

The staff was friendly and service provided was exceptional. The room had an odor when we arrived, and there was a hair and stains on the comforter. Other than that the room was great. The room was a good size, we had 7 of us in it at one time and there was plenty of room for us to move around. The bed and chairs were comfortable. Overall the hotel seemed to be older and in need of some attention. The bottom of the pool showed wear and tear as chips were noted. The pool tiles were cracked. In my opinion they need to do an over haul on the pool. The hotel was pet friendly. We brought our dog and there was a wonderful area to walk him. They even had treats for the dogs at the front desk. Since the positive really out weighed the few negatives, I would stay here again.
