I had never been to Coachman Park or even new what it looked liked. I bought tickets to the John Legend concert this past weekend and I bought the tickets the day before the concert not knowing he was in town as I drove to Clearwater for a mini vacation. Keep in mind I dressed nice because I felt John Legend is a classy Soul Music artist. I purchased general admission tickets as the closer seats to the stage were sold out. 1. When I pulled in and the girl stopped me she did not charge me for parking, then when I drove about another 20 feet another girl stopped me telling me I didnt pay $20. Well thats not my fault. The lady said she will chew out the other girl for not charging me. That was weird. 2. Parking was horrible. They couldnt figure out where to place us so they had us follow some path to a side street and had us park our cars on an angle in which anyone driving fast down the street could easily clip the front of someones car and maybe my $100,000 Mercedes. 3. When entering the concert area, the lady scanned our tickets and the machine said we had already entered. This was a lie. Their was a big issue with this which was embarrassing. 4. We had not eaten so it was cool to see their were many options to buy food but the problem was all the sea gulls flying right over our head and it was many. This was very nasty and ghetto. 5. The only option for alcohol was beer and it was 1 beer line about a mile long so that didnt work out either. 6. Sound was horrible. One artist was on before John Legend came out, and speakers were not anywhere in the back area where general admission seating was. The only speakers were on stage which make the sound in the seating area limited. 7. The seating was horrible. Never in my life did I have to buy tickets to enter an event and then pay $5 for my own seat and then have to wait in line to buy the seat and have to carry the seat over to the general admission seating area. This was very very ghetto. 8. The people who had the more expensive seating did not have to buy or setup their own seats and they were ROPED off to their own little world make me feel as if I was a broke loser who had to buy my own seat and carry the seat. This was far from classy. 9. We decided to leave and lose the money on this horrible and embarrassing experience. When leaving the guy that was letting the new people in screamed at us saying "YOU NEED TO KNOW THEIR IS NO RE ENTRY". I screamed this very loudly and it was embarrassing. 10. In closing, I cant believe a Grammy Award winning artist like John Legend would even perform in a place like Coachman Park. I looked up to him as a major venue type of artist like the Staples Center in LA etc. I will never attend this park again in my life

Cant complain about the show, but felt like the venue was just a way to shake you down for more and more money, paid $6 for a small plastic cup of beer....however they did let you buy two at a time (per person in line with you) i will say the beer lines though long moved quickly and even though they wont let you bring in chairs (or umbrellas...so check the weather or bring a poncho) they will happily sell them to you for $5 per chair (to be fair they looked far more comfortable than the premium seating area)...i only counted 6 garbage cans in the whole park so tons of garbage...oh and BRING CASH! they accept cards but only have one line for cards(not every booth accepted cards) However they had like 6 lines for cash so the cash lines moved VERY quickly

A park on a sloping bluff with amazing panoramic views of the Intracoastal Waterway and Clearwater Harbor Marina, and home to occasional concert festivals such as the Clearwater Jazz Holiday. City officials close it off sometimes in advance with no signage; we were once almost locked inside! The situation was just one instance exemplifying a certain unfriendliness and cluelessness of downtown officials and the areas Scientologists about downtowns many resources and how to make people feel welcome there and enjoy the area. When it comes to Coachman Park, both parties could be better about welcoming others to this wonderful landmark. Please come out and demand the City of Clearwater serve the public, for once.

Great location and well kept. I love attending events here. Most recently, I attended the Independence Day festivities here and then watched the fireworks after the sunset. Beautiful. The only problem is that there is no organization after events controlling traffic and it becomes a nightmare to get out. There is a police presence, buy they do not do any type of traffic control. Or at least I havent seen them do that anyway.

July 4, 2017. Great venue for fireworks. Need more security lines but understandable given the times. Hey Clearwater, the Wilsons is the best entertainment you can get? She sings too high and they cant get in sync for any of their duets. Most songs pre-1960. I think they even got worse since last year. Shame the crowds around us are laughing at them then figure out it is a joke and then get fustrated.

Coachmen Park is a beautiful place to begin with, but then they have all of these great festivals and venues here as well. If you have not been here you should come. Nearby, you can catch the ferry over to the beach, check out a library book at the Clearwater Public Library or just watch the sunset over the waterway.

Saw the 4th of July fireworks. They were spectacular. Only unconscionable thing is the drunking fountains were turned off. You could buy bottled water from vendors waiting on a long line, but 90 degree plus temperatures to not have after fountains should be illegal

Really nice park right next to the intercostal waterway. Tons of converts and activities happen here. Theres nothing in the way of facilities though other than a water fountain, nor are there any gymnasiums for the kids to play on.

Really good venue but being right next to the Scientology center makes me have to mark it down one star. Ive had personal experiences with the security there and theyre assholes. Other than that its a nice venue, right on the water.

Went to a fair there. Signage could be better. There was a fence, I think for an event later w/ an entrance fee. It was difficult to tell where to enter the park - where the fencing did & did not go through.
