Our goal is to visit all of Pinellas Countys 21 parks and half way in this is our favorite! Such beautiful trails where you feel so deep into the wild, with only a hum of traffic from Walsingham barely noticeable. We saw an osprey perched on a dead tree so close by, and from the pier out onto intracoastal we spied a stringray. The nature center and owl house were beautifully displayed and well cared for - and you can tell that the staff love the animals. The number and variety of turtles in the ponds was amazing, and we topped it off with a picnic at one of the shelters. A+ for Pinellas County!

The park is great. Turtle pond is really cool. The only reason I dont give it 5 stars is because behind the owl exhibit there are caged birds with many signs that say PLEASE NO SMOKING WITHIN 20 FEET OF BIRDS and a "park ranger" was sitting there, smoking. Blatant disregard for animal life. Disgusting habit, polluting the whole area with his cigarette habit. If I took the time to see his name, I would let you all know to avoid him. Older, white male, white hair and mustache about 250 lbs.

This is a great place for kids to see wildlife up and close. Its like a mini zoo in the front by the building. There are people there to answer questions about some of the birds there, which seem to be under rehabilitation. There are hundreds of turtles in the pond. There are walking paths and a boardwalk area that leads to the Narrows, part of the Intracoastal waterway. In summer months bring big spray if venturing into the back trails.

I love the animals and the beautiful location right on the water. Here you will see birds of prey not just behind the bars of a cage, but right next to you! The birds are taken around the park for walks and the public is welcome to pose with them. They also have reptiles the volunteers will take out for you to see. They always need volunteers and donations! Consider giving a little time and money to help support the animals.

Excellent hidden treasure in Largo, Great Owl Live display including baby Owls. Great Turtle water pad display. Nice Walking Trail to a nice deck to a view of Tampa Bay. Bathroom facilities available and a drinking fountain. Not a huge parking lot like some other parks. But enough for a decent crowd. Great Find and Free admission. Donations are accepted if you wish to help out but not required

I volunteer here with The Narrows. Not only is it beautiful, but Im getting to learn a lot about birds of prey (owls! Hawks! Oh my!) and the local flora and fauna. The playground is really cool as well! Great place for family outings, or for getting some needed green space in our urbanized lives.

Excellent little nature Park, inside you have rescued owls, falcons, eagles, rodents, rats, snakes and amphipians. Outside you several trails and nature walks. There is a little park for the kids to play and several turtle ponds. This is a great place to take the kids for a Walk.

Commonly referred to as The Turtle Park, McGough is always worth the visit. From helping to save raptors, to trekking the mangroves there is always something to see and do. Each trip is an eye opening experience, learning and discovering things youve never experienced before.

A nice park with boardwalk and crushed shell paths. Was great to see owls and raptors being well cared for. Great inter coastal view. Signs that dogs are not allowed which is disappointing but I assume thats because of the birds being cared for. Smaller trail then expected.

Great trails, a boardwalk, a nature center with lots of animal displays including a number of live rescue owls, and a lake full of turtles. Staff are always nice and helpful. Its like going to a mini zoo, for free. Only minor quibble on the playground is that its not shaded.

Love this place!! It may be a small park but it has a cool staff that will answer your questions about the animals that theyve rescued and take care of there. Plus they have a small turtle pond where you can feed turtles for about 25 or 50 cents a cup of turtle food.

I have been going here with my dad since I was a kid and I was so happy when I found it again by accident. It is a great nature park if you love animals. You can feed the turtles and see owls, the eagle, and hawks. Take your family here! Kids would love this place.

Fantastic little park. They take in injured birds of prey, nurse them back to health, and those that cannot be released back to the wild are lovingly tended in this wonderful little park that lets you get up close and personal with these amazing animals!

Nice little park, especially for kids. Our kids love feeding the turtles! Bring some cash for the food. They also have owls and other birds of prey (that cannot live in the wild due to issues or injuries) as well as some snakes and lizards.

My kids and I love this park and visit it frequently. Ranger Kirby and the other employees and volunteers are great and love teaching the kids about the animals. We love to feed the turtles and visit all the animals, especially the owls!

I loved my visit here, Ill be back to walk around. Came a little bit early for the center to be open, but walked around taking pictures. You can see the birds in their cages even before the center part opens, its really cool.

A great place to see eagles, Hawks, owls, turtles. Handlers walk the park with birds of prey on their arm for photo opportunities. Take a walk through the woods to a pier over the bay.

Beautiful park on the intracoastal right before Indian Rocks Beach and hardly anyone was there. Saw lots of birds.
