Fun local municipal course. Fairways get beat up during the drier winter months, but come back once the summer rains start up. Greens are surprisingly fast and in excellent shape for an inexpensive course. Has some unusually designed holes (par 4 where using a nine iron twice is my best way to land on green...90 degree angle mid-fairway), but overall a fun experience. Multiple tee boxes, so you can make it as challenging as you wish if you want to play the back tees. Can be extremely slow at times if you get behind inexperienced or just plain slow golfers. Players spending inordinate time trying to find balls in water hazards also can slow things up considerably.

Once a year when I visit my sister in Boca I get to play Southwinds. Its a wide open course yet there is water everywhere so you cannot spread them too much. The water cuts a few fairways so golf management is essential, good thing the score cards have enough course info. Fairways are good, greens are in good shape, a bit slow but puttable. Overall a great golfing experience backed up by a great customer service.

Interesting little course. Plays almost like an executive course even from the tips. Lots of water, especially off the tee and across fairways so it does make you think. Fairways and Greens were in nice condition, friendly staff and affordable.

Mostly used the driving range. Everyones really nice there and the range can be a little torn up sometimes but they do a really good job of filling it in often and moving the tee.

The best greens in the Boca Raton area - I enjoy it every time I play. I would recommend not picking up the water jogs and flags too early sometimes.

the grrens were good/okay the fairways were bad the teeboxes were all messed up go to osprey for a better course
