First time visiting for a Louis CK live, and it was okay in some aspects and worse in others. We happened to have good seats on the upper tier that allowed us to look straight ahead at the stage without turning our body, but I dont feel like Id enjoy it much sitting anywhere else especially in the back rows on the floor that looked flat with no incline (but I dont know for sure). Sound was pretty good, however you cannot hear anything from outside the room or in bathrooms bc they have no PA system .. really should. Drinks are CASH ONLY and god god are they expensive! ATM fees are $10! Literally we asked for an extra plastic cup as we asked for a whiskey and coke and he only gave us whiskey ... guess okay ... but still wanted a mixed and he said the empty cup itself would be $4 bc its how they track inventory?! Also, even though didnt get what asked for, we tried to politely ask for the rest of the coke can at least so that we could drink some straight whiskey and then pour in some coke, but said no to that too. While I understand that the building is old, the Mens bathroom taps and soap dispensers didnt seem to work at all! Maybe didnt use it right but I messed with one or two and since couldnt immediately get it to turn on, I had to leave bc I was in a rush to get back as I was missing part of the show (bc of no PA system in bathroom again). Seat aisles and sections seemed very poorly labeled (not clear/obvious enough) as we actually had to ask for assistance in finding out seats. Lastly, as this performance was being filmed, if we wanted to walk to the bathroom during the show, we literally had to limbo duck under the giant camera boom weights to get off the stairs as the booms swung over the entire aisle. But to end on a good note, despite being completely unorganized, the entrance security lines did go pretty quick.

Ive been to DAR a couple of times -- once for a taping of Jeopardy!, and then on a different occasion for a stand-up comedy show. Im also going again next month for a presentation from Neil deGrasse Tyson. Its a decent venue for these kinds of events, as its able to accommodate a fair number of people. If I recall correctly, the restrooms are all downstairs, which can cause some bottlenecks with people trying to get in and out. A little annoying, but not a huge deal. Ive never tried any of the concessions they offer, but Im fairly certain they do offer snacks and beverages for sell. I cant vouch for the seating on the sides of the stage, but otherwise youll always have a fairly good view of the action. Its location cant be beat, as its easily accessible by foot, Metro, bus, or some combination therein. All in all, not bad.

I attended the Ledisi concert on Saturday March 21, 2015, the event was great! My experience with the passbook scan code ticket option was not so great. Although ticketmaster gives you the option of downloading your ticket to your phone, Constitution Hall (venue) doesnt have the appropriate scanners to scan your ticket off of your phone. We arrived at the event early enough, but by the time we walked to will call and stood in the line the concert had begun. although we didnt miss much of the pre-performers, had it been advise that this venue is not equipt with the scanners I would have printed my tickets at home. The seating in the venue is very tight, so be prepared to be upclose and personal with your neighbors on both sides of you.

Chris Tucker comedy show at DAR Constitution Hall on April 27th was awesome! Parking was a breeze, I was able to park in a paid lot 3 blocks up the street and walked down to the venue with no issue. I did not need to use Will Call so I was able to walk right through the doors and grab a drink at one of the many service bars. The layout of the venue is simple, there are entrances to the seating area everywhere and getting to and from my seat was never an issue. Being able to bring your drink to your seat was a huge plus! When another event pops up that catches my fancy I wont hesitate to take advantage of this venue and its location.

Very cool venue! Went there to see a Louis CK comedy show, and really enjoyed it. The security lines were fairly quick. Definitely long lines for drinks, but make sure you try the bar in the basement (where the bathrooms are) - thats usually the shortest. There are also a couple food options downstairs (hot dog, pretzel, etc.). You can bring your drink to your seat, but not food, unfortunately. I was in "obstructed view" seats, which were actually great- we could see everything, and got tickets for half the price!

The exhibits here are little known but actually pretty cool. I definitely recommend checking them out, especially if youre in the area and have some time to kill. The period rooms show what different rooms of a house would look like in different time periods in American history. And they have rotating special exhibitions as well. The exhibits are all free, and definitely worth checking out. Id say give yourself about 90 minutes to see all the rooms.

Grandsons High School graduation... Went smoothly and timely... Much better sound quality and system than countless concerts Ive had to suffer through. The sound drops to a muffled, distorted mess for almost every concert. So, Ive had to not attend concerts because theres always a restoration fee but the sound never improved... For the Graduation, I will admit - sound was beautiful... RUTH

DAR Constitution Hall is a fabulous venue. Many events are held here each year, and each one benefits many people through the efforts of the Daughters of the American Revolution. I highly encourage all to visit DAR Headquarters and also visit Continental Hall and the DAR Library to begin or work on your genealogy!

Great venue for a DMB concert. You can enter venues from any side of the building. We found free parking near the national mall. Balcony seats were elegant and offered a great view of the concert. Beer/cocktails were allowed into the concert hall but all food had to be eaten in the hallway or downstairs foodcourt

Constitution Hall always has a great variety of entertainment offered. I guve it 4 stars instead of 5 because the seating besides the floor are tight. I am not a big person but I am tall 510. Nothing they can do about it but a major renovation. Do your best to get floor seats.

We sat in the floor seats section, which are cramped and can be problematic to view the stage when trying to look over the person in front of you. There are ample staff to ensure that you dont crowd the lobby or door entrances and they make sure to remind you often of this.

2nd graduation and the staff always does a good job of keeping things moving. Amazing they do multiple per day. Dont aim for the closest parking garage. Aim a few blocks away. Quicker to get in and out if you dont mind walking an extra block or 2.

It doesnt matter who is playing, DONT buy the ticket. The venue sucks and therefore makes the musician sound awful. Furthermore, no one stands up or gets into the music, they basically sit and act like theyre watching television the whole time.
