My boyfriend booked a night at the lodges for my Christmas present. The package was the ghost hunter package. This includes a nights stay at the lodges, a $50 credit towards The Farnsworth Inn, & a 2 hour extreme ghost tour of a civil war battlefield or abandoned civil war hospital. I would have given this place a 5 star rating if it wasnt for dinner(which wasnt at The Farnsworth Inn) or the ghost tour(which didnt have a single thing to do with civil war Gettysburg). When we checked in we immediately got switched to another food location (I couldnt even eat my food at this other place & had to spend extra just to use $50 at this dumpy local corner bar) which we were expecting a nice romantic dinner! Ew. Then the ghost tour was in a murder house of a woman who died 32 years ago and had nothing to do with civil war times. Unacceptable! The whole reason for our trip was this tour, my boyfriend a war buff and Im a ghost tour lover. At check out on March 19th we expressed our concerns to three people during check out who told us the GM would call, a week went by they never did, we called again March 24th and spoke with a man who said wed get a call from the GM, another weeks goes by no call, mom boyfriend then emails on March 31st to get a call back from the sales department who expressed her on April 5th and said the GM would call and we would be getting a refund. Its now April 17th, no call or refund. This GM is a disgrace and this place is a rip off! Completely ripped off by everything we signed up for and now that they have our money the dont care!

The lodges are out of this world honestly but with that comes a good price, however considering what you would pay to stay in a small fancy room at the Marriott doesnt even come close. The extra space the fire place the view all amazing. I would not recommend the breakfast that you should get free its nothing more than a days Inn continental breakfast that they charge you over 5 dollars per person for. I also would not recommend the corporals quarters you literally share a thin wall with who ever rented the other half of the lodge. They say its comparable to a hotel room its not, my microtel was bigger. My final issue was the front desk staff I had such complications because I wanted to switch my room because I rented the corporals quarter. Here I was ready to spend extra money per night for the near week I was staying there and she seemed as though I had inconvenienced her. Not only that but she charged my card 3 different times with different amounts then refunded then charged again the total bringing cost to almost 1,000 dollars until everything cleared out several days later! Overall I loved the second room, the views are breath taking, the lake was gorgeous, the house keeping staff was great, the event coordinator was very friendly she answered some of my questions, it was a nice place and very close to the park.

First they gave us an email confirmation and did not tell us check in would be at 4pm. We left early to get an early start so we got there at 11am. She told us to call back at 2pm to see if we could get in earlier they needed to clean the place first. So we could not offload our things and freshen up. So anyway we go out to do a few things and come back. At 1:45 we were able to get in but they did not really clean it. There were cup rings on the counter and ants on the bathroom floor. We brought that to their attention and were told they have been having a problem with housekeeping. Also the lodge had 2 televisions but the one in the main living area only had 1 channel and it was nickelodeon. That was fine for my 7 year old but we had 3 adults and it would have been nice if both tvs had all channels. Also when housekeeping went in to clean while we were out they left our door unlocked. Also be careful because you get ignorant neighbors. Over July 4th we came out of our lodge to find someones beer bottle laying on top of our car. The view is pretty but I wont be paying this high cost again. Next time I will spend less at a hotel.

My boyfriend and I decided to go to Gettysburg for the weekend. We found this for a good deal and we decided to give it a shot, especially since most of the hotels available had terrible reviews. The Lodges was beautiful and quiet, our room as very clean and comfortable. The views are breathtaking, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the fireplace was a nice touch to the room Parking isnt the greatest. There was a wedding taking place when we were checking in, so it took us almost 45 minutes to find parking. Theres supposed to be a restaurant at the lodge, but the lady at the desk told us it was closed because bar keep was on vacation. We were pretty disappointed with that, since we were looking forward to having that on site. While we didnt have time for it, theres a pond to fish as well as hiking trails. We were wishing that there was more to do on site. Other than being disappointed with the restaurant being closed, little parking, and there not being much at the resort, it was a nice stay. Its somewhere wed definitely consider going again and hope that well be able to enjoy the full experience.

I REALLY wanted to give this establishment a 5-star review because the people working here are AWESOME. (One exception is the wedding director - lighten up lady! lol). My whole family (3 kids, 1 service dog, my wife and her cousin) spent 3 nights here for a July wedding and holy mole was it hot! The heat caused the only real issue... The HVAC unit is undersized or unable to cool the main part of the Massachusetts cabin effectively and as a result the cabin was a touch warm (although certainly cooler than outside). A smaller window AC unit kept the bedroom quite comfortable and cool. I noticed that several other cabins have central air-conditioning and I bet those cabins are comfortable throughout. The unit would have also benefited from having more mirrors. Having only one in the bathroom and one under the sink was challenging with 4 women trying to get ready to attend a wedding celebration. In the end, I enjoyed my stay at the Lodges at Gettysburg and can recommend this unique experience without reservation. Stay here folks!

We made reservation and received our confirmation. When we arrived, they changed our reservation using the excuse that I called. Fortunately, I had my confirmation on my mail account on my phone and the only confirmation numbers I received were the original confirmation numbers. When I asked if they would of sent me a new confirmation number, they said yes. I asked them to show me the new confirmation number for my changed reservation. They had none. The manager at the check in desk said "He had no idea why he changed them but the place was booked and they was no other rooms beside the new ones" We needed a room for 5 people and they gave us a room for 4. They said that it was an upgrade and they didnt charge us. We were visiting the area at wedding
