I went to a flower and garden show here and although it was crowded, the convention center was able to handle it. The ticket sales was down stairs so those with tickets were able to go in without having to fight through the crowds of people buying tickets. The place is huge with several escalators and elevators. The ballrooms which were used for classrooms were a floor above. Not only was the place huge, it has a rich feel to it. By this I mean it isnt a run down building. Formal events requiring tuxedos or gowns is not going to be out of place here. It is next to a Marriott and you can get from the hotel to the convention center without going outside. There is garage parking that is charged by the hour.

*This rating is from a booth holders perspective not general attendees*. The convention center building and facilities are absolutely amazing however in the last five years each show has had less and less people attending. This past year attendance at a point where it is not even worth it for us to have a booth. On top of that it costs at least twice the price to get a display in other convention shows. Thats not even including how they tack on charges to every amenity you would need as a booth holder. To simply have a power outlet at your booth it is $100+. The rates to use there wifi the data rates are crazy

I typically go here for ConnectiCon each summer. I love the layout and accessibility of the convention center, its open and easier to navigate than some other large cons. Ill often be going through a comic or anime con and look at the parts of their layout that could be even better if they arranged it the way the CT Convention Center does. I love how easy it is to get to, easy to park, and its close to the River.

Had to work in a show for Comcast Womens Expo The space was nice, but the sound system was WAY TOO LOUD The food they had in the snack bar was aweful every year they have over priced horrible food choices , the only alternative when you are working is to go to Starbucks, luckily they are there or every one would have a stomach ache.

Came here for Connecticon. The facility was kept very clean. The organization of the events and such left much to be desired and there was also an incident involving too much weight on the escalators and threats of fire marshalls being called in to close the whole thing down. Could have been handled much more professionally.

I went to the Pet Expo for the AKC meet and greet. We had a nice time with our dog and the people in attendance were nice. I thought the staff was helpful as well. The reason for the 3 star is that air units were pumping freshner out of the overhead blowers which was overpowering and really made me nousious.

Helped with an exhibit for the Connecticut Flower and Garden show. Huge venue area with many excellent events year round and extremely helpful and efficient staffing. Food is offered in the café and in the Starbucks in the connected hotel. Food quality is good, though the price is quite high for what you get.

I come here every year for the Conneticon convention. The place is very well cooled witch is helpful if you are sporting a heavy or bulky costume and the staff does an immaculate job of keeping the place spotless and the bathrooms fresh. Its hard to believe over 20000 people attend this thing.

Plenty of parking. Seemed well organized. Bathrooms were well kept and that was with a lot women in and out all day. Food was average and expensive. $7 for 3 chicken fingers and $3 for a bottle of water is alot. Never saw an convention center staff the entire time I was there.

Nice design overall including a couple of different levels. Nice hotel connected to the Convention Center. Hotel had a nice bar on the main level. I only had drinks so I cant comment about the food. The parking was a bit high so I would try to find coupons online.

WAY TOO EXPENSIVE TO PARK! Whenever you have the chance to recommend a location advise against this & opt for one of the hotels outside of Hartford for your event because its a pain in the butt to get there to begin with & then on top of that the parking is outrageous

Went to discover the dinosaurs exhibit. The convention center had close parking g to the center. It was reasonably priced. The center itself was very large for various events. It was well kept and clean in the bathrooms. Overall a nice center.

Beautiful and clean venue with easy to understand parking lot instructions. The nearby restaurants fit either the casual or higher end dining experience and there are tons of places to eat nearby. Im very happy with this location.

Spacious, polite staff, easy to get in and out. Positive experience with a well rehearsed facility crew. Recommend for doing events, easy parking and highway access as well. Well situated for traffic from both Boston and New York.

As someone who goes to a lot of function spaces every year, I can say with confidence that this is the most well laid out. Every room has its use from small meeting rooms to the exhibit halls that could host an indoor airshow.

Depending on what you are going here for you will feel differently. A company party: good time, liquor is a little expensive, food is plentiful. A conference: decent food, venue is large enough for most all groups.

Huge clean facility for events, there is a lot of parking and good restaurants in the area. The immediate neighborhood seems safe and clean, and I have never encountered bad traffic getting to events hosted there.

I had a performance here for a showcase. It reminds me of West Mass center in Springfield. It is confusing to walk around if you are not familiar with the place. It is very nice and appealing.

Went to the CT Flower and Garden Show, there were so many vendors, excellent landscaping designs and they had a variety of speakers sharing their knowledge on a number of topics.

Generally a good convention centre. Centrally located, plenty of parking if you need it. My only gripe was no changing table in the mens room; its the 21st century people.

it was alright but the parking garage was annoying because there was no simple way to exit it. you had to roll around every single floor all the way down.

Nice, but really needs free Wifi. Almost every other large convention center Ive been to has free WiFi, so not sure why they dont offer it as well.

Parking is a little disjointed, but otherwise this venue is always clean and well staffed, with clear directions to get you to your event.

The big building allows for many events to go on at once. As far as I can tell, it is kept tidy especially for being such a big place.

Staff kept the bathrooms impeccable. Parking staff, however, were not super helpful with directions to loading dock.

Good parking available and a large show floor for all types of events. Cafe is usually crowded but the food is decent
