I definitely have contemplated giving Broken Tee GC a poor review over a year ago and after my last visit, I was compelled. I understand this is a public and very busy golf course but the pro shop is so mismanaged its shocking. The older man that frequently manages the shops counter is unbelievably rude, he has expressed is complete hatred of his job on several occasions by his behavior. The starter, during the six or seven times I have played here (also a older gentlemen) is also rude and has no business representing the golf course. Unaware the fist time I played this course; if you are wanting to play in a two-some... You can forget it, they will pair you with any random goofball they please. Which I really dont have a problem with, I understand it helps the pace of play. What I DO have a problem with- is when my lady friend asked the starter on our third visit, if it would at all be possible to play in a two-some.. He smirked and with attitude said ha, NO. I guess what makes this so unbelievable to me; is that the economy isnt exactly booming and golf is not a necessity for most. But apparently this is a take a number operation and no customer service..no scratch that, no pleasant demeanor in needed. I guess Broken Tee is financially sound and dont need to provide a pleasant golfing experience. I have no idea how to fix a slice or to direct someone into the proper swing plane...but I could give you a little advice on where to spend your $$ and Broken Tee is just that...Broken.

This course is easily the most mismanaged course I have ever played. They let a foursome on the course every 8 minutes, even though the rate of play is 15 minutes per hole. They pack people on like cattle and have ZERO standards. The group in front of me were absolutely plastered and the cart girl continued to serve them beer. They spent 20 minutes (not an exaggeration) in the middle of the fairway talking to the cartgirl. They were 30 minutes behind pace by the end of the fourth hole. Our round took us 6 hours to finish. When we arrived at the course, we asked to remain a twosome and said we would wait however long we had to. They said that wouldnt be a problem. On the teebox, a group of teenagers walked up and told us they were paired with us. They were wearing tee shirts, jeans and flip flops. We did not see a single marshall. The course was in decent shape but not worth the greens fees. We will never return and I suggest you spend your day elsewhere. I have been golfing for twenty years and have never had an experience this poor.

I golf each week with my friends who bought the three year pass. I didnt so I am a paying customer each week. Today they were golfing 9 and I was going to do 18. On the 9th hole the ranger came up to our group and said we were too slow but we were waiting on two groups ahead of us. He went to one player and asked if I was playing two balls he was told no. He came to me and asked the same question. I told him no, I had muffed my shot , it went up 10 ft and down, that is were I played it from. He proceeded to the fourth who joined us today asked the same question and got same answer. So in other words calling me a liar. I proceeded to clubhouse and got a rain check, I will use that and then I am done with this course. One puffed up ranger may cost you more paying customers and golfers who have golfed there for over 20 years. Hope he doesnt treat everyone the same way.

The Good: - Ive found the weekday pace of play to be very good. We played in under 4 hours on a recent summer Friday. - The senior walking rate of $24 Mon-Thur cant be beat except by some of the Denver public courses. - Its challenging but fair for all golf levels. The Bad: - The weekend Pace of play was very bad on a Saturday. I wont play there again on a weekend. - My biggest complaint are course conditions on first 6 holes. These are simply toilet bowls for Canadian geese, and perhaps the most poorly maintained from the filth standpoint Ive ever seen. Nearby Raccoon Creek and The Meadows have done a nice job in dealing with their geese recently, and Broken Tee needs to do the same. -

For $120 Stan Sayer "fit" my clubs by letting me hit 3 irons a few times. Dont bother with the simulator, he double booked it, so it wasnt available. A few pieces of tape, and 9 swings later, Stan said I was perfectly fit for Mizuno JPX900 irons. It sure is a good thing, because I had to pressure him to try anything else. Dont let the website fool you. I had to beg to let me swing anything else. During my $120 1 hour long professional club fitting, Stan Sayer also: answered phones, checked to see if the receptionist was outside (she was on her phone), reset the simulator (which was double booked), and also tried to find clubs he could have sworn were just there. DO NOT GO HERE !!!!

I can dig on broken tee. Although i admit that i laughed at Bretts review down there b/c i know exactly what hes talking about as far as the grumpy old man in the pro shop. Not the best kept course, in fact, the greens can be downright gnarly at times (people here seem to never fix their FREAKING DIVOTS ON THE GREEN) but its a great value. Ill go play here after work somedays, its 10.00 for 6 holes on the regulation course, or $10 for the par 3 (which i must say, probably the best par 3 course around, as the holes average from 160 - 200, instead of say 85 like most)

This is a good golf course with some very good deals to make it easier to fit into your schedule or budget, especially if you have weekday flexibility. The regulation course had 6, 9, & 18 hole options. Its walkable. It open enough of a course that you dont have to be super straight and still be able to play. #6, 11, & 13 are trickier holes though. The par 3 is terrific for working on improving your game with a good variety of holes to 225 yards. The M-W deals are really great. The staff is friendly, and they often open earlier than many after a snow dump.

This was my first actual golf experience, ive been to driving ranges before, but this was the first time i had played an actual course. The ladies in the pro shop were more than helpful to make sure our experience was the best. We played the par 3 course and it was everything i gad hopes for. Beautiful, forgiving fairways and nice soft puttable greens. I can say this is the nicest golf course Ive ever played! Lol Ill be back to play the big boy course one day!

I spent $120 to get custom clubs fit with Stan Sayer. First, they really have no clubs to try. He let me try some Mizunos. I also got to hit some Titleists. Its not what you think when you go to the website and see different brands to try. They are not available. Stan seems to have priorities other than his "Club Fitting" which is unfortunate. Dont bother, prices suck, and you could do much better at a big name store, sorry to say.
