This place does Not honor their daily specials. They list a special as 9 holes with a cart for $24. Two of the employees said they dont always have the daily special, but if we wanted the 18 hole daily special, they would give it to us. We ended up paying $16 more than we should have had to pay. Apparently, the staff needs training on the definition of "daily." Now I have to call Lakewood to ask for reimbursement. What do you think the odds are they come through? The course itself wasnt that bad, but we were constantly rushed by a threesome behind us that apparently came to see how fast they could play 9 holes. There was 2 of us that finished 9 holes in 1 hour and 45 minutes. Pretty fast! Not fast enough though, because one of the marshals said we needed to pick up the pace. Lets just say, we wont be going back to this place.

If I had to pick a "home course", this would be it. It is close to my house but it is also a great track. With 27 holes, it is fairly easy to play different combinations depending on the day. The only thing I dislike, and reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars, is making the turn. We like to play fast (but who wants to play a 6 hour round in the first place) and we usually get held up when making the turn due to other groups being squeezed in. The course tries to avoid this but it seems like they could be more aware of it and either hold up the new group or space out the tee times more efficiently. We almost always try to hurry through the 9th hole to get in front of any other group being squeezed in, however, I believe this should be a function of the starter or marshal and not the player.

Was going to play nine last Friday on the recommendation of a friend but apparently missed the cart time by 2 minutes. The gentleman behind the counter informed me that I could not take a cart out after 4 PM after he hung up the phone. He also sent a twosome out right before that with a cart. It was just my girlfriend and I and I was going to play as a single and am fully confident in the fact that I would have been in before the twosome he had just sent out. I drove 40 minutes from my hotel to play the course. I am very disappointed in the lack of common sense usage as well as the lack of hospitality. I hope to give it another shot in the near future as I have heard great things about the course

This is a great public golf course run by the city of Lakewood, Colorado. It has 27 holes. 18 of which are a links style. There are some challenging shots on this course. The course was in good shape considering it is the busiest course in Colorado. It has a great view of the west foothills and of the greater Denver metro area. Great public course.

Weve never actually golfed here, but we often run through on the Bear Creek trail. Wide trail with plenty of room for passing bikes and golf carts. Its a great place for running or biking, assuming you dont mind going straight up the side of an earthen dam (the climb is a little steep, especially when pushing a double stroller...).

Never had luck getting honest answers from pro shop about pace of play or crowdedness. They say its pretty open and not crowded, and I arrive to a tournament that is slowing everything down... Ive talked to others who have similar experiencws. Homestead is a fun track though.

Definitley one of the more challenging and beautiful public courses in Denver. Lots of variety to the wholes, elevation changes (huge), eleveted tees / greens, a little pricey, but definitley worth it

The plastic sleeves they put to line the cups is not USGA regulation and can effect your play. These serve no practical purpose. Please look into another alternative or just remove them entirely.

3 great courses that are well maintained. Good spacing so youre not rushed, that is,if every one keeps the pace. There are marshals to help move long the pokey players. Well run course.

Good course. Can be tough so beginners beware. Price is a little high for a city course but this is one of the better ones.
