I played today for the first time since my last review. The new management has improved everything from course conditions to overall service. Ill be back for sure. I like Seth booked the same deal and decided to send the following email: I played a round on 3/17/12 with 3 members of my family. I have to say I am seriously concerned about the future of Deer Creek under the current management. I have played this course numerous times due to the close proximity to my home but have played my last until something changes. The issues started as soon as we arrived. We purchased the deal from golfnow and moved our tee time to accommodate the "mistake" in the fine print, not a big deal. I was shocked to see the Pro Shop was empty and that we had to pay at the bar. The score cards are barely legible Xeroxed copies? The golf carts are in need of repair and could use some sand to refill divots. The course is in terrible shape, I was shocked by the condition of several greens. I understand its early in the season but I have played at other courses, deer creek was by far the worst. I don’t understand why you would put out a "deal" then not have a beer cart girl on the course. The food at the club house was subpar at best. While in the club house the staff was complaining how bad they hated the deal that brought all the customers out. Overall deer creek has been on the decline for a few years and becoming a huge disappointment. I am a concerned customer and would love to play here again soon but can find better courses at the same price. Please take this email as way to improve and become the deer creek I used to play, not as bashing or angry, we still had fun being out with each other. To which they responded: First of all, I would like to say that I can appreciate some of your concerns. However, I have to say that they definitely took myself and the course owner by surprise. Obviously, this isnt the place for you anymore. Since you do live very close to our course, I think you should look into playing more often at Highlands Ranch or at the Meadows. Sincerely, Stacey Hart and the Deer Creek Staff. I dont care how cheap the "deal" is, use your hard earned money elsewhere.

You can have a 4-star experience at this golf course if you temper your expectations. I give this course 3 stars based on the quality of the greens and fairways – grass is well manicured and plays great. The course complexity is an above average experience at a Really affordable price – this is what gives it the 4th star value. I typically you can find a Groupon online, and even if not the cost for a round is great. As far as the driving range, it needs some work (don’t go here to experience the driving range ONLY). They do however have a nice but small pitching range which includes a sand trap. There was no cart running on the day we were there, but they do have one. Even though there was not a cart person, the bar gave us a nice hard side cooler that fits in the back of the cart w/ice and our beers

This is a good golf course for folks with at least middle level skills. If you are a beginner, youre likely to get frustrated with losing golfballs. (There are some longer mandatory carries including 250+ on #3 from black, though oddly overall it doesnt play long. #5 is a tricky one. A long drive can leave you with no reasonable shot if you go past the fairway (300+).) The slopes of 143 & 131 from the back 2 tees tell you to expect a challenge. 113 is average. Service is good. Riding a cart is probably preferred, especially for the 1st 9. The chipping green is iffy. Happy hour is 3-6p. Rates are $50 weekdays, $45 seniors, $40 twilight after 2p, $30 super twilight 9 after 4p. Its worth playing.

I think I found it folks - The worst golf course in metro Denver. This course is not only "not for hackers" its not for anyone else. Super-skinny fairways and greens surrounded by marsh. Youre margin of error better be calculated in inches when you near the green, The back 9 are all way too close to houses. To make matters worse, they have no course Marshall. I played behind a foursome that took forever to make every shot and took twice as long on the green. They refused to let anyone play through and no one was in front of them. We played 18 holes in 5 hours and I couldnt wait to get of this track. Save your money and avoid this place.

This place is a joke, got a groupon and went to use the included range balls - the driving range is a joke, might as well be hitting balls off the parking lot. Staff is utterly useless and the starter could only say my sheet was printed at 6:00 am we had a foursome on the 1st green a twosome mid fairway and three groups at the tee box with starter guy saying tee off. the greens suck as other reviewers have mentioned do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. We got a monsoon with sideways rain on 9 and you guessed it no rain check cause you have a groupon so here I sit with 16 people waiting for rain to stop so we can all tee on 10

I love this course. Will not play it again. No beverage cart to begin with. Most important, I was within 5 yards of being hit with a golf ball from the people behind us on 3 separate occasions. They just waved their arms at us like it was our fault. There was not 1 marshall on the course to talk to. The guy in the club house after the round just looked at me and said "I dont know what to say". Golf is supposed to be a gentlemens game. Apparently the people, a foursome and a twosome who jumped in dont know that. High price to play there, when there are no marshalls or beverage carts.

I feel scammed. Despite the questionable reviews I took them up on one of their offers here recently. I called the schedule the tee time and they refused to allow me to book at the time I wanted even though their offer stated "good any day, any time." The gentleman on the phone said that I could only book during certain times on the day, despite admitting that they "made a mistake" on their offer. Add poor service to their already underwhelming course, and Id suggest that like me, you take your business elsewhere.

Played today for $50 & the back 9 bathrooms were locked plus #12 they had SERIOUS construction going on but didnt think to mention anything. This course used to be the premier course to be a member of and even had the news do a story about it. However, times have drastically changed; for $70 in the summer is just ridiculous for a poor course condition. And winter rates are a joke; better off playing the executive 9 twice at Foothills.

90* day and not once did we see the beverage cart on the course. We saw the cart as we were heading to Hole 1 and never again.... while not the end of the world... what was extremely disappointing was the fact not a single water station had water in it after about midway through the front 9.... IT WAS 90+ DEGREES and not a single option for staying hydrated on the course.... poor course management if you ask me.
