There are so few bowling alleys in business these days. You often just have to take the good with the bad because the alley you are going to is the only one within acceptable driving distance. The San Fernando valley has quite a few good bowling alleys though and Winnetka Bowl is one of the good ones. No bowling alley is perfect though and if you bowl enough you will undoubtedly run into a lane here or there that is having issues with its pin setter. That is just the nature of that beast and you will occasionally run into this at Winnetka Bowl. The management does their best to keep the lanes well maintained and clean though so chances are your day or night out bowling will be an enjoyable one. This is your classic bowling alley. They have a lot of lanes and usually have leagues bowling Monday through Thursday nights. They have a fairly well stocked pro shop and they have shoe rentals at the main counter (of course). As with most bowling alleys there is a room full of arcade games and pinball machines to help keep the kids occupied while you bowl. They also have a separate room with quite a few pool tables that hosts pool leagues at times but when not hosting a pool league the tables can be rented by the hour and this is a nice alternative to coin operated pool tables. They also have two other mainstays of just about all bowling alleys. The first is the bar. It is your standard bowling alley bar which is to say it is good for beer and your standard array of mixed drinks. I havent been there on a Friday or Saturday night in awhile but they used to have drink girls going up and down the lanes taking drink offers on the weekend and hopefully they still do. The second mainstay is the standard bowling alley snack bar. Greasy but good burgers, chicken sandwiches and large plates of French fries hit the spot here. The cooked food is actually a cut above your usual bowling alley snack bar food and several large plates of fries and some beers make the evening out bowling with friends just that much better. This is a lively place and is a good spot to have a fun night out with friends when you feel like doing something that isnt the same old thing.

Honestly I do not know where to begin... My Husband and I had recently gone there yesterday for the first time... Even brought our own bowling balls... And although we loved the music we found the Customer service was horrendous and the lanes were really narrow... I give it only one star because the workers there shut the lanes off before we got our personal ball retrieved back to us... My poor husband had to walk up to the front desk twice to let them know that they had shut the lanes off before his ball was retrieved... And we got kicked out of the lane we were playing in when we were gonna play a couple more games... We had to be moved to another lane because they had given out our lane as if it was not occupied... I guess to them we were invisible... Did they not see that we were still there??? It just gave us an overall bad experience... I will never ever go there again... If you are looking for a better bowling alley that is not far from Winnetka I would recommend Corbin Bowl...

Went here for New Years, they charge way too much for an hr of bowling and dont even include the shoes. I tryed to get Sundays price on Sunday but apparently (even though they are 24hr), they wont release the change of $ until 9am Sunday. (So 8am Sunday will be charged as Saturday). They were so rediculous as to take down the game to win an ipad on New Years saying it was "broken" though it was working fine the day before as we stopped in to play it. Pizza is horrible too. Oh one more strange thing is they have a bunch of flatscreens with football but not ONE had a New Years count down. I felt really bad for the party who paid extra to celebrate there.

this was about 2 years ago, i should have written a review then. walked into the bar and i stood near trying to decide what to drink. the bartender was rushing me then asked me if i was drunk when i hadnt had a drink yet. she kept assuming i was drunk and was really rude to me. i donno if she still works there cause it looked like she hated her job. she had dark blonde/brownish hair and middle aged.

This place has been taken over by bowling leagues... There is no public bowling here anymore. We went here 3 separate times and days only to be turned away by staff saying the leagues were there and if they let us on the alleys, the league had vowed never to return if anyone else was near them while they bowled. The almighty dollar is very powerful.... But this place will never get my dollar again.

The prices for bowling are good, especially if you use their GROUPON it is UNBELIEVABLY cheap. They have balls of all sizes and the lanes, equipment, and seating is well kept. Ive gone here at least 7 times, havent been disappointed. The billiards and arcade are not bad either in terms of price. Some parts are a little outdated in decor, but the technical aspects are updated.

Bowling plus cheap drinks?! This is the spot to go if you ever wanted to combine the two. I recommend coming at night when the crowd gets social. the place is full of older residents during the day, which isnt the crowd I particularly like drinking with.... But theres nothing like seeing the older couples drinking in the bar and dancing till they pass out. Hilarious!!!

Ive been bowling league here since 2008. I love this place. It has the real feel of a home bowling alley. All the staff are friendly fun people . They are in the process of upgrading everything to be up to par to more modern bowling alleys. But to be honest I like how it is now and dont mind the upgrades. If youre a bowler this is a great place for lanes.

This is one of the best bowling alleys located in the west valley area. They have great promotions depending which night you are planning to go. They even got a decent arcade with air hockey and racing games as well as a pool hall with a few tables!! Definitely nice place to go and just kick back and have fun
