This is my FAVORITE drink spot in Los Angeles, hands down. 1) TOP NOTCH QUALITY. You can taste the difference, I am not joking!! It is DEFINITELY worth the money, and this is coming from a budget conscious deal seeker! 2) Venue has GREAT AMBIENCE AND CHARACTER. Features include: hidden photo booth on the left of the entrance (FUN!), well dressed bartenders, a $$$$ 2 lane bowling alley, ample seating, cozy feel, board games, and sometimes dancing late friday or saturday night if people let loose. TO DIE (oops) I mean DRINK FOR: 1) State Fair is the most delicious cocktail I have ever had the chance to drink. It tastes like ambrosia/food/dessert/alcohol goodness all in one. They apparently only have it in early summer though... why? Its the best drink! --Four rose butter infused Bourbon, Kjak Cherry Wine, Caramel Syrup, Smoked Salt. THAT IS IT. THE. END. !! heaven. 2) A good friend of mine got the Russian Mule (real shaved/grated ginger!!) wow is that delicious. You will often find the bartenders freshly grating ingredients into the drink. nothing prepackaged or artificial. + + + + PERSONAL NOTES: + + + + - You cannot wear shorts as a guy (I made this mistake, you must wear long pants). Otherwise its pretty lax as long as you look moderately well dressed or stylish it is easy. - You will have to wait for the door person to let you in. But they are nice and polite, so I am totally fine with that. - Lights up and closes at 1:45/1:50am, and then you can hobble 3 doors down over to In n Out if you want to keep the party going...... - Go on Friday or Saturday if you want to see it bustling.

What a fun place to visit inside the Roosevelt Hotel. Ive had the pleasure of hosting game nights every Monday night here (over a year ago) and it was always a good time. Inside this bar houses a very fancy bowling alley (with only two lanes) at a whopping $100/hr fee. I would never pay that much to bowl but the fanciness of the place would warrant such a price tag, I suppose. Another thing I appreciate is their cocktail quality and ... GAMES available for patrons who frequent here. Im a lover of JENGA and they have that for you to play along with other amazing board games. Drink, play, drink, play. They also serve pretty good food. Another tip: they have a secret photo booth alongside the wall near the entrance. Youll have to feel around and find it :)

Dark, tight, fun and loud. The Spare Room is a great place to meet with friends, eat and have a drink...and then go bowling! This isnt your local bowling alley however, your game comes complete with a hip assistant, old school styled bowling lanes, with a view of Hollywood. Seriously. Excellent drinks, great staff who take care of you, and an overall good vibe. It can be a little challenging to find the entrance, so if you get lost inside the building, just ask (its upstairs). Enjoy!

One of The Best Craft Cocktail Joints in LA. Somewhat hidden in the historic Roosevelt Hotel is a brilliant bar that has a vintage bowling alley. The mixologists there are excellent and the leggy wait staff are gorgeous. Its best to get there early. 1) So you can get a decent seat. 2) Before they turn up the music to an obnoxious level. Having said that, youll be hard pressed to get a better drink in the city of the angels.

I came here on Monday night for the Guns + Butter pop up dinner that was being hosted at the Bar. The Spare Room is a beautifully decorated bar (as youd expect inside the Roosevelt Hotel) stocked with a bowling alley lane. Since I was there for the dinner, I didnt get to try the cocktails, but the staff, bartenders and bar manager were very friendly. Definitely a great place for a fun, yet sophisticated night out.

My wife surprised me by bringing me here for our anniversary. We got dressed up an headed out for what she called a "special" evening. It was! Had no idea places like this exsisted. It is located in the Roosevelt Hotel. Elegant, beautiful, and just a classy place to play games, have a drink. We bowled, played monopoly and drank. What a evening.

This place is so great. The DJs they have are wonderful and spin some great collections. The custom bowling lanes are so classy, not to mention the designer bowling shoes! The games you can rent out are pretty awesome and there is a lot of seating. This place is not cheap but totally worth it. Make sure you RSVP before you go!

Blessed enough to experience a movie premiere party at The Spare Room. The mixologists were absolutely amazing and were easily some of the best cocktails I have ever tasted. At that time of the premiere I enjoyed the game room versus the private bowling alley. The Spare Room was one of the highlights of trip to Hollywood.

A moody, sometimes-loud cocktail bar with a rotating menu of excellent and fairly unique cocktails. It can be expensive, but if youre willing to sip a great cocktail rather than gulp a mediocre one, its typically worth it. It can be a bit hard to find, so look out for the unusual artwork in the front window!

A bit pricey but very fun old-school Hollywood especially if youve got out of towners in tow. All the staff are extremely nice and the decor is very cozy yet luxe, good place for chatting and hanging out for awhile even if you dont make use of the bowling lanes. House cocktails are great too.

I found this place while vacationing in CA and actually ended up coming back twice! Excellent handcrafted cocktails! Bartenders are friendly and the place is cozy and clean. A must if you are in the area!

Has a great vintage feel! The ambiance is warm and inviting. To the left of the alley they have booths to sit and play games. Great for birthdays. They have a bar as well.

This place is awful. Didnt let me in even though my friend had a huge party inside and a reservation. I guess I didnt look the part. Awful management. Worst location.
