The city of Taft and the owners of the Fox Theatre have worked hard to preserve and keep this movie house open for its citizens. No, it isnt a large multiplex but it has 3 screens showing first run movies and all the goodies youd find at any concession stand. Prices are kept low so that more can enjoy going out for a movie. Many of the Art Deco features have been preserved throughout and to visit the bathrooms on the lower level gives you an idea of what it must have been like to really dress for the evening and to powder your nose in the ladies lounge. The Fox is on the main downtown street that is fully lighted and a pleasure to stroll along window shopping afterwards. Theres a nice little cafe almost right next door with good food and a nice selection of beer. There are also several wonderful new shops within the same block thats sure to please and dont be surprised if someone you dont even know smiles or greets you. Taft fox theater is a good theater despite the other review. Service is always available. The staff is always very friendly and never once had a problem with them. The only downside is sometimes they only show one viewing a day around 5 pm for a movie. some of us get off work right at 5, and cant make it in. Sometimes they show 2 viewings a night, and that is much better, but otherwise its a good theater.

They didnt screen minors for a rated r movie which lead to a whole bunch of kids in the movie talking and screaming to the point I left ten minutes into the movie, and couldnt have a refund

Closed food stand before movie even half way done. No personal to be found. Stood there shouting knocking on countertop, no one would respond. Terrible service

The Fox Theater is old and gorgeous! Setting is modern and snack bar is always good. There are 3 theaters to watch the movies. Great ace to take the kids!

Its a little old which is kinda cool but no AC which makes it a little uncomfortable the seats are dirty really bad ,the screen needs updating !

Never Has Good Movies and sometimes it only has 1 showing of 1 movie they hardly have a variety of movies.
