Hard to find, we were considered late because the doors were locked and it said closed, even though the guy that worked there was standing outside smoking told us that the door we were trying to open that they were closed and that he thought we wanted in the bar which clearly said the golden puzzle room!!! What bar???? ...smh. One of our girls was on crutches unable to walk .....there was no handicap access so she actually had to CRAWL up four flights of stairs, but the bathroom is marked on the second floor with a paraplegic sign!! Smh So this took a little extra time for her to get up 4 flights of stairs, but the guy did not let us have our FULL.HOUR he shorted us to 45 minutes due to the doors being locked and her having to crawl up the stairs, he said it would put him behind on the next party ( which is understandable), however, afterwards as we sat out in the alley waiting for the car to pick up the girl on crutches he stood out there with us smoking and the other party arrived to go in and he said they were 30 minutes early!! Smh... and he couldnt give us our 10 minutes??? whack! We went on a Sunday afternoon, The alley is full of homeless people and smells like piss I cant even imagine going here at night! Unlike other puzzle rooms there was no introduction to what we were doing and any kind of story behind it he just put us in a room and told us that we had to find the key to get out the door, there was a ton of Clues but theres no storyline like the other puzzle rooms. I suggest you check out the other rooms I didnt personally care for this one.

Finding this place was such a mission. I had set this up as an adventure to go on a date based off a groupon I had purchased. Little did I know that they were open past 2 am(unlike most things in California) and accidentally picked a 3 am slot for a Saturday. It was my fault so I put up with it. The issue was finding the place. Its 2:30 am and Im a single girl walking around midtown confused off the directions online. I make it to the ALLEYWAY and call their service number who tells me they are a general calling service and DONT EVEN KNOW EXACTLY WHERE IT IS. So I ask the lady to stay on the phone with me while I try to find it(and as I am coincidentally passing homeless people who happened to be urinating outside the building Im supposed to be looking for). By the time I find the door I missed the "15 min early" window and due to that(and probably the dangers of having to find "a golden door with a black key" brings) they wont open the door and I had to lose out on my entire Groupon. Honestly the puzzle of finding the damn door and the fact that theyre open at 3 am like "late night crowd fresh out the bar" would even go there are things that turned me off to this idea that originally sounded fun but became more work than its work :/

I have been trying to book a large group for my sisters birthday for 2 days now and have been told management would need to contact me back. I have waited and called, but yet have received no calls what so ever. I have called three times and just now called and the young lady on the phones voice sounded fed up that I was calling again. Before I could even finish what I was saying she interrupted me and said "We emailed management your information and it is up to them to get back to you. You can email them if you want as well." Guess I wont be using your service if it is not important to them to be professional and provide good Customer service.

Long day it was... read the reviews and decided to go anyways and probably was one of the stupidest decisions of my life since the location wasnt too worrisome for me. the game design wasnt the worse in the world but as soon as you step in the game it wasnt that great and the host just sat in there with us which made it super awkward. we wasted a whole hour working on the stupid things that werent even puzzles and was only there to distract us... what a waste of time tbh smh

Reviews are correct! They chose a very poor location, so if you care for your safety book early in the morning and play the game with a group. Being paired with strangers wasnt the best experience and it didnt make it any better that the host sat in there for the whole hour just watching us play the game, kinda awkward and not immersive at all. this is a one room escape. skip this place.

very very very sketchy location and hard to find because it was in an alley way, dont book if you are going alone make sure to come with friends. The game wasnt that fun either the room wasnt decorated and i think there are much better rooms around. save your money this is a low budget game

We made it out! This was my first puzzle room ever. We had a group of eight. I recommend a large group for sure that way you all can spread out and hopefully work quicker as a team! They will be adding another room in summer. The location was tricky to find, but yes its in a alley!

I had a great time for being my first puzzle room experience. It was challenging and fun. We had had a group of 8 and did well. If you go, get a good group, it will help to solve the puzzles. They said they are adding another room soon and I plan to go back.

Our group (3) and the other group (4) were able to have fun escaping the room. I was a little disappointed with the overall size of the game room for the cost.

Went here for my boyfriends birthday and it was amazing. Great for a group of friends. And our hostess was amazing. Very accommodating and really set the mood.

This was so much fun. I highly recommend. Our group escaped with a few minutes to spare and without using any hints.

Fun. We went in a group of 8 - I would say its too crowded. Best: 4-6 people
