Came in a few months back with my wife and a friend. First let me say that is a great 5 star facility. Everything about it is fabulous. So why 2 stars? #1. The day we went there was a group of about 4 teenagers who were ringers. They had their own helmets with cameras on them and ran every adult session while we were there. Now the employees put them in the back of the field so that they could go and pass everyone. Problem is these kids were punks honestly I dont even know if they were employees or not but they had no problem hitting, bumping and trying to spin everyone out just to pass us. And the employees didnt do anything about it!! Now normally I wouldnt get too upset if someone is trying to spin me out, but when theyre spinning my wife out, well it was all I could do not to Splatter these guys head up against a wall after the session. We went there to have fun and have a good time!! NOT to prove how (small g) god like our driving skills are at other peoples expense!! Also an FYI you get x amount of laps per race and only the fastest person gets to achieve those laps so if youre super slow you will never get to run all the laps. Sadly it left such a bad taste in my mouth that I have never went back. Just an FYI to the punks out there....anyone can hit and spin out other cars to make a pass...But only good drivers know how to make a clean pass!. (And to the employees...yes, you should have done something about it...its your responsibility.

My kids had the day off of school and they were filled with boredom at home. So I said we should go do something fun. They said they wanted to do go karting. I looked up a a place and found this one. Absolutely terrible experience. I waited 45 minutes in line to purchase a race and then they tell me I have to wait 3 hours for my kids race! Then they tell me theres an $8 fee for a license! That is just absolutely absurd! So I asked my kids if they were willing to wait and they said ok. It was a very long three hours but we did it and their name was finally called. My two sons were having a good time. After a few laps the staff starting yelling and waving signs at them telling them to slow down. They did slow down but hadnt realized they had sped up again after. So the staff member started doing it again. My kids slowed down again but then the event accord for the third time and they got kicked out of the race after the 8th lap. I was so disappointed and left after spending 4 and a half hours and not even having finished the race. Do NOT come here!

Unfortunately, the skill level that K1 (or at least this K1 facility) caters to is fairly low on average. That wouldnt be a problem except that whenever someone spins out, they cut the power on ALL the karts on the track presumably for safety reasons. Its great that they have safety in mind, but if youre a competent driver, youll be frustrated. I found that for every 10 minute session I was able only to get 2-4 full speed laps in. (Laps are between 23-26 seconds if youre fast-ish.) Perhaps I just went at a bad time, or on a bad day, but Id never pay for that experience again. If youre just looking to go have fun putting around, its a well maintained facility at least. I dont recommend it, though.

Thoroughly enjoyed racing! Nice electric karts. No fumes. Friendly staff. Great Facility. My Godson and I had never been karting before. I assumed the electric karts wouldnt be much fun, but they were plenty fast for the track setup. 4-wheel drifting was possible if you carried enough speed through the corners, but at the same time they were not so powerful that you had to worry about getting into trouble. We had a great time. The track staff was very good about using flags and did a great job enforcing passing to allow the faster drivers pass and get the most freedom on the course. The staff were good about recognizing the drivers for their skill level...and for the drivers with less skills.

Would not recommend. The workers control all the karts and if they want to they can intentionally slow you down if they want to. It felt like they were doing it just for fun. We were not doing anything wrong but were made to go slow. I went a whole race going half the speed because they made us. My cousin while racing was getting slowed down every time he was getting close to someone else even though he never hit anyone. In that same race while he was turning the kart’s suspension broke. Then they tried to blame him for it but all he did was take a normal turn. I wish I could give it zero stars but I have to give it something so a 1 star will do.

Overpriced for the amount of kart you get - really slow compared to the other bay area karts, and at almost $2 per lap... really, k1, really? Staff refused to help when I was trying to find out more information about the karts which wouldve helped me enjoy driving them more, e.g. tire pressures theyre running. Pretty obvious k1 speeds goal is making money rather than spreading driving enjoyment. Thats bad for the customers, and thats bad for Karting in general. If you want a place that cares about racing, not bottom-line profits, LeMans Karting in Fremont or GoKart Racer in Burlingame are where you want to take your family and friends.

Very disappointed! Bad customer service! We had to work to get the attention from the people at the front desk. No greetings whatsoever! We even let them know that my sister was visiting from France, but that didnt lift the interaction. The race in itself was nice, but overpriced for what it is. We wanted to take a break before the next race, we looked for a water fountain which was nowhere to be found. We asked and they pretty much told us it is what it is and that they cant even give us a cup of tape water! After we just spent $250! Wow! No compassion or sense of service! Would not recommend and would not go back again!

Indoor cart racing on relatively small track. The carts are electric so have good acceleration and the track design really does a good job of utilizing the limited space. My kid was concerned about something someone said about the staff kicking you off the track for bumping. When we went in Feb with him and his friend I didnt see any issues here. Its cart racing and some folks want to go faster than others and they seem to manage that ok. They have someone on the track supervising and regulating track behavior. It wasnt overboard by any means. Pros: Fast, fun cars. Cons: a bit pricey (20$/race)

The staff is super awesome, and will offer great advice on how to get faster lap times. Fast course, and one of the best in the bay area. They offer great gear for the karts as well. If you plan on going karting often and youre fairly skinny consider buying one of their k1 braces as it will protect your sides from the hard plastic seats. Enjoy the track and have lots of fun. PLEASE DONT USE THE BREAKS !!! They are very powerful and you will spin out if you push too hard. The track does not require any breaking. Just let off the gas and you will naturally slow down.
