If you come to Edgewood to run, please remember that it exists because it is home to over 500 plant species, some of which are endangered and/or unusual in our area, and also home to the Bay checkerspot butterfly, and endangered animal species. Many dedicated volunteers work regularly to prevent it from being overrun by invasive plants. It is important to remain on the trails at all times to protect this wild heritage. Please encourage other visitors to do the same. Thanks, and have a great visit.

Very easy hike. We started at Edgewood Trail to Serpentine Trail to Sylvan Trail. Our kids were ages 3,4,6,7 and they didnt complain! We had a lot fun observing different types of plants. Beware, theres poison ivy plants! Our kids wore long sleeves shirts and pants, just in case. I recommend wearing hiking shoes as some areas are slippery terrain. Overall a great uphill and downhill hike, made for running, jogging, and hiking.

Beautiful views of the Bay just a 10-minute drive from downtown Redwood City. Lots of different hikes to choose from: the trails are well-marked and available in Google Maps. Only downsides: 1) parking lot can fill up on the weekends 2) the back side faces I-280 so you lose some of the serene nature vibe for the part of the trail that runs along the freeway.

Excellent location for a family hike and easy trail runs. A little bit of climbing but at the end youll be rewarded by nice views of the bay area. The trails are pretty easy and smooth. Beware of the copious coverage of poison oak. Dont touch anything green if you arent sure. Learn what poison oak looks like.

Without having to drive to far, this is a GREAT location for easy to moderate short hikes. No bikes but horses are allowed - not that I can see why; there is not much room on the trail. Also being a close to reach, there are times when the trails are crowded but they are still worth the beautiful views.

Very accessible and beautiful park, with several short walks and an excellent visitor centre. For kids (3-6 yrs old) it takes a bit of a climb to get up to the beautiful higher areas, but once up there, the park is very easy to get around and offers great views towards Skyline and the Bay

Beautiful park with well maintained trails (unless it rained recently: they can get muddy!). Biggest gripe is tiny parking lot. Cars can end up parked dangerously on the sides of the road for hundreds of feet either side of the park entrance as a result on weekends.

Spent about 2 hours hiking along several trails. Quite muddy because of recent rains. County provides weekend shuttles from Redwood City transit center and several other locations, but there is a gap in service between 12 and 2, so I wound up walking home.

Long narrow trails, lots of shade and wildlife. Dogs arent allowed, horses only up to some trails - we entered from the Edgewood road, walked for around 1 hour. On top of the hill youll find a scenic spot with a view on Redwood city and the bay.

Trails are pristine, the low review is in relation to the moldy bathrooms. Mold is a neurotoxin and causes many health issues. It would be nice if a recreation area had usable restroom facilities.

Beautiful trail and plenty of parking. However, its a popular trail for locals, so get there early to secure a spot. You can frequently spot deers and rabbits there too :)

Nice panoramas of the bay if you walk all the way to the Meadows. Many different flowers. They have a small but nice environmental education center. Totally worth it.

Great place for a walk in nature. It close enough to go there often and big enough to get in a good hike. The wildflowers are awesome in the spring.
