Awesome for younger kids since its contained with a fence. Theres a sandbox, separate small play structure, and bigger structure for the bigger kids. There are swings for little ones, but no "normal" swings. It does get rather hot in the afternoon, and the play area isnt shaded during the hottest parts day. Theres a covered area with picnic tables right next to the playground which is perfect for kids parties. No grill though. Theres also a nice field for walking dogs or kicking a ball. You can climb the hill for an awesome view of the bay (not for little kids). And theres the bike trail that follows the creek.

Great place to take a hike, if on the trails, bring appropriate shoes, kids area is great, even have a sand pit. If you have a hobby grade rc truck, the creak overlook trail is great, do stay out of the water, last time I was there they had raw sewage signs up everywhere. I plan to go back and finish scouting the rest of the trails with my scx10 and hopefully my 1.9 wraith as well. Strollers beware! The creek overlook trail is not paved, tube tires with appropriate shoes(ankle support) is highly advised.

Watch out for poison oak!! Especially on some of the narrower trails along the edge of the park, there is tons of poison oak. This park is perfect for a short hike or trail run, with enough of a climb to the top of a hill to make it a nice workout. I see many people walk their dogs here. Many of the trails leading to the top of the hill are quite steep. Great view at the top!

The trails are nice and go back into the surrounding neighborhoods in several places. Its pleasantly hilly, and borders seamlessly on Sugarloaf Hill Open Space Preserve, so you can park conveniently, climb the hill, then stop for a picnic or to play on the playground on your way back. And the bathroom has running water too.

Beautiful park nestled in the middle of a residential district, with a mounain at the center. I have personally seen deer and assorted small wildlife, and the views are stunning from the top of Sugarloaf. I try to walk the mountain at least once a week.

This park is a jewel snuggled within the suburbs. Pleasant valley grassy area for picnic and play plus a medium enfenced gym area for children, then theres hiking with views of the SM flatlands. I grew up here and this space is a neighborhood blessing.

Great park during the summer. Theres a huge field for you to do anything on and a playground for children and a seating area as well. In addition there are restrooms and water fountains. There are also many trails and places to bike!

Great little park with lots of hiking trails that go up the mountain. Nice little playground area for kids in the main part of the park. Can bring dogs on the trails on-leash. Just got a lovely feel to it overall.

Walking or cycling around Laurelwood Park is wonderful. It has ready routes and more difficult routes with good bathrooms on site too. Parking can be limited at times.
