Spent part of our labor day here along with several hundred locals, enjoying a beautiful afternoon. Very peaceful mix of diverse folks relaxing & co-existing in the sun and shade, consuming North Beach eats & drinking beer or wine. Its SF, so you have the homeless and eclectic, but saw no disturbances or scenes. It was all good. A noteworthy mention - Coit Liquors right on the corner has an amazing selection of wine and fairly good guidance of what to buy to go with it. Saw a lot of folks walk directly from Coit to the park with wine or 6-pack in hand. Very convenient.

The landscape complements architectural piles of awesome that seem to be everywhere in San Francisco. Another thing that seems to be everywhere are people who appear to be of the street Urchin nature sleeping in parks and ruining anyone who might prefer a bed at night to grass and rot gut in the middle of the days time planned on being spent there. There are far too many people spread amongst this not big enough plot of park to even have a chance to try and enjoy anything about it past the eyesore homeless shik has its way of leaving on me everytime I smell it.

O praça em si, não vale a visita. Na ocasião o local estava sujo e sem atrativos que justificassem a visita. Por outro lado, há vários restaurantes bem recomendados nas proximidades. Assim, não perca tempo com a praça e vá para a massa.

Washington Square Park is within five minutes drive from my place. This is were I come to vent and relax when I want to be myself. On warmer days kids and dogs take over the grassy area. People go about their day from reading, resting, laying in the sun, socializing. A kids area with obstacles and swings nestled in corner. Restrooms are always clean and doors are closed nightly by 8pm. Its located steps from St. Peters & Paul.

Lindo lugar. Tranquilo para tomar un descanso luego de pasear por San Francisco. La iglesia es muy bonita. Hay restaurantes de comida italiana muy cerca. Buena comida a buen precio.

This park is pretty nice as it takes up a regular square block. It has a area and public restroom open/close on certain times. Park is also within steps of St. Peter and Paul church. Plenty of options available by walking. You can get to Chinatown or North Beach within minutes. Bring a blanket if you plan on laying on grass. Not the cleanest, but safer to do so.

Was on a Sunday when this park became alive for us. Around the noon several people were having fun here. We found as well an art exposition just in the park. In a sunny day it is beautiful. Picnicking, walking, relaxing and having fun. Thats what this park looked to me. Its not very big but has a nice location. Any homeless this time around by the way.

Die Kirche ist einfach nur genial.... aus Sister Act. ... im Park kann man Chinesen beim Joga oder was auch immer das chinesische Pendant dazu ist, beobachten

Its a nice place yet full of homeless people... So you dont feel at ease. If anything, San Francisco is packed with homeless people, so if youre worried about your kids or your own safety, stay on the crowded streets and even then its full of homeless so just be friendly and ignore them or give them something.

Dogs off leashes in the park were fighting with dogs on leashes. Their owners werent disciplining their pets. Homeless or drug addicts took over one section of the park, were playing music too loudly and disturbing the people in the park. The public toilets were out of order. Wheres Rose Pak when you need her?

Great park in the North Beach area of SF. Common to art shows, tai chi sessions and events such as the Santa Run and Bay to Breakers. This park offers great access and views of Coit Tower, St. Peter and Pauls Church and all that North Beach had to offer. Its a smaller park, but doesnt often fill up.

Great place to people watch! Weekends and sunny days = crowds. Mornings = tai chi / dance ladies. If youre gonna picnic - be sure to bring a blanket - the place is visited by a lot of dogs! You can pickup food at any of the nearby places and then grab a spot on the grass or bench and enjoy!

Nice shaded square and open green space in the heart of North Beach. Popular with families, dog lovers and couples or city tourists looking for a place to rest and relax. Can be also popular with homeless, beggars and less desirables from time to time as well, so take caution.

Usually a very chill park. Often local artist are displaying their wares. Lots of people relaxing for their afternoon. Above average playground for kids with not horrible bathrooms. Yes there are homeless and unemployed denizens, but tell me a park totally bereft of such folk.

Nice little park but I think they should use a less toxic method of preserving the playstructures wooden parts. My child loved it there, just have to be sure to wash your hands and your childs hands when you leave. The rest of the park is spacious and nice.

This place is really pretty. It is super close to restaurants in North Beach, Lombart Street and Coit Tower, as well as the cathedral. Nice place to rest, get some snacks before heading off again to explore more of San Francisco.

Nice Park, in front of Saints Peter and Pauls church. One would think that the statue in the middle is dedicated to Washington but is one of Franklin :-) there is a lot of green, a bathroom cabin for those who cannot wait.

Really nice town square with a nice church. People sitting down reading newspapers, catching some rays in the summer time! Good for people watch or good to chill before or after hitting Columbus Ave Restaurants

A nice park right in the middle of the North Beach neighborhood. This is a great place to meet up with people if you are going out in Little Italy/North Beach (just dont expect many parking options nearby).
