This park offers conventional park use space coupled with a short, level streamside hiking trail for those wanting to become more familiar with Southern California chaparral/oak woodland ecologies, Many wonderful old coastal oak and valley oak trees line the hiking trail. Several varieties of sage and sagebrush abound. This spring, we observed purple nightshade, owls clover, sticky monkeyflower, penstemon, wild cucumber, ceanothus and other unidentified wildflowers. Yucca abounds alongside the asphalt access road at the top of the park, blooming in May and early June.. Perhaps the finest local display of "Fremontia" or "flannelbush" can be found along the perimeter of this park. they bloom from late March through May. The park has a duck pond near the entrance with a trail circling it. Mallards are year round and coots and ring-necked ducks visit during the winter and early spring. Red-winged blackbirds nest in the marsh at top end of pond in the first half of the year. swallows and small insect eating bats can be observed flitting about overhead on summer evenings. Turtles are routinely seen, and rare visits from green herons are a treat. Quail and coyotes are occasionally seen, and rabbits and ground squirrels are common. mockingbirds, scrub jays, finches and various small insect-catching birds (LGBs) are routinely present. picnic, restroom, vending machine facilities, childrens play areas are available in the park Unless there is an event scheduled, this park is very rarely busy. The park offers some access to hiking areas lying between the Conejo valley and Simi valley. I have seldom found so much variety of nature access and recreation options together in one small place. It is a very pleasant place to go for a couple of hours.

Fantastic park for people (and dogs) of all ages. It has a couple of small playgrounds for the kids. A small amphitheatre with green rolling lawns abound. There are hiking trails out in several directions. There is a creek which is likely dry in summer but is flowing as I write this. It all flows along a beautiful trail lined with wonderful oak trees to a small man made lake. There is splash park for the summer although it is off this time of year obviously; February. Apparently there is a very cool dog park in the back as well. So much fun for my young boys.

My husband brought me here for Mothers Day with our boys and we absolutely loved it. There were at least 30 Turtles and a single pond and a good amount of ducks with their ducklings. He also happened to catch a 4 foot long gopher snake. The area is scenic and peaceful. We took a nice walk around the park and found that there were two playground areas for our boys. There was a lot of grass and trees and even a little creek. It was very beautiful and I look forward to visiting again soon.

We stumbled upon this place by accident while looking for some easy trails and a fun place for kids to play. It is gorgeous out here! There is a fun playground, a splash pad, a lake and waterway with turtles and wildlife, a dog park, luscious sprawling green areas with lots of picnic areas with bbqs , and plenty of short, easy hiking spots. We will definitely be returning!

When my kids are grown they will have memories of sunny summer days at the splash pad, rolling down green hills and wild bunnies feeding on the grass. This park has it all, it is a perfect little place.

Beautiful grounds. The splash pad is great, except its hard to enjoy due to the swarms of bees. We had to leave because of them.
