As everyone else said, great variety and low prices - perhaps even up to 20% less than Manhattan Aq shops like the nice but less-inviting Pacific Aq (based on gauging fish prices and the 8 kg Fluvial Volcanic Soil we bought for $44 instead of $55 at Pac Aq). Beyond being pleasantly surprised that the owner remembered my first visit the week before and purchase of decor wood/soil for a planted aq start-up, I was taken aback by how candidly he offered fish-adding advice for my new set-up while testing my water sample no questions asked. Many places wouldnt question your fish/other purchase decisions or care at all about the livelihood of the fish, and certainly not provide free pH testing on the spot. Suffice to say he won my business for life even though the on-road and across-street-market parking situation would deter many a soul.

great place. the owner is nice and knowledgeable. The fish are affordable. Many places dont guarantee live stock. I would do the same because whos to say you didnt change the fish with ones in your tank. This has been done before. Sam is the guy to ask for. His partner is also nice but i personally always have easier time with sam. Also i could be he did me a favor because im a regular. But several times he did exchange fish or give me credit. either because of death and sometimes because the fish i bought werent compatible with the ones in my tank. Again he was hesitant but he also knows im there regularly.

I love this place. I came here since I was young with my family. I remember growing up with goldfish and whenever they passed away, my uncle bought new ones home. I went to the other stores in Flushing recently and none of them have prices or selection that compares to Kissena Aquarium. Sam and Jacky are very friendly and they are knowledgeable of what my aquarium needs. I have a couple of fish at home and a beautiful aquarium at work. They have a huge selection and I was able to build my dream aquarium at my restaurant. It is definitely alluring to customers.

I was so dispointed..I bought and picked two fish from the store myself, and I remembered how the fish look like, I turn around and picked something else. I paid $25.00 for each fish,and left the store, when I got home these fish was not the same fish I picked.....after 15 Min, I got back to the store, and tell them these not the fish I picked, and I want to pick the other two....and they refused, neither exchange the fish nor money back.....from I walked in to the store to I bring back the fish, its not even 30 mins.... DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM the STORE.....

Low reviews are somewhat weird to see for this small business. Ive read one that claims he was sweating when he was in he store. The place is nicely air conditioned and sometimes it does get a little moist for the fish. The quality of the fish is absolutely wonderful. The two main guys are very knowledgeable in both salt water fishes and fresh water fishes. Prices are surely acceptable for their low prices. I would definitely recommend this store for fish and fish supplies.

Ive been looking for a while for a store in Queens that has good healthy Saltwater livestock and corals. I think I found my new vendor. Dont let the cramp basement fool you until you check out the health and prices of the livestock. If I didnt have a 6 hour drive back home I would have picked up some of the ORA Frags they carried at pretty fair prices. Ill be coming back to get my father something for his tank during Christmas and his birthday.

Healthy fish and corals, clean tanks and neat store. This guys know their business and customers needs. Ive visited plenty and I mean a lot of places looking for the right place and this is it!! They wont push you to buy they help you instead...ask them anything about the hobby, they know it. I like these guys I love the store and that lil tank with the sps corals.

This place is amazing. The variety of fish they have is enormous. They have two co-owners with years of knowledge in the fish field. The fish that they provide here is the most beautiful among the other fish stores in the Queens area. The prices are reasonable and I would definitely recommend this aquarium.

This store is a rip off! They have tank of mixed mbuna cichlid for $7 and peacocks for $15 so pick two mbuna cichlid when I got to the register guy charge me for $15 each. He keeps insisting those are peacocks guy couldnt tell mbuna from peacocks and telling hes in business for over 10 yrs. Lol

Asked for flying fox which I can see in the tank, he said I cant catch that fish. I said what ? Actually why? No answer. I was the buyer but he was not the seller. Stupid things. Better places and prices are available.

Ive been shopping here for quite a long time, it used to be the hidden gem in Flushing for all saltwater and coral needs until new stores opened and started being way more aggressive on prices. Still a nice place to visit

They dont guarantee any livestock. Couple that with high prices and youre looking at a high risk situation buying anything from them. Buy from a LFS who stands behind the quality and health of what they sell.

Great Place to get fish and supplies. I Went there to get electric rams and Beta fish from my brother as a starter. The Tanks are clean and the fish are well taken cared off.
