Such an amazing theater! The service was great and friendly. The theater was clean, with a beautiful design and vintage feel to it. The video quality was crystal clear, and the surround sound awesome. The seats super comfortable and spacious, and the murals creeated a great environment. There is one larger theater, and two smaller ones that seat about 35-40. It was packed, so youll want to get there at least about 45 minutes early to get good seats. At first, when reading the reviews, we were a bit concerned about the smaller size, but it was so comfortable and ended up being just perfect. One of the best movie experiences weve had, and we will definitely be back.

Village Theater is one of the most beautiful movie theater I have ever seen. In each venue there are hand painted murals of scenes of Coronado and San Diego. The carpet was custom made for this theater, I asked when I saw them installing it. The owners, who I dont know, managed to get three theaters into the one existing space, thus rescuing the old theater space. So two of the spaces are smaller, but the screens are large. The seats are very comfortable, the popcorn freshly popped. A beautiful place to spend the afternoon or evening.

Best theater Ive been to in San Diego. The two small theaters are my favorite. So beautiful. Really adds to the whole experience. People there are respective of others. I simply dont see people texting instead of watching the movie. I had stopped going to theaters because of that alone, and it is a joy to find a theater that takes the movie over texting seriously. PLUS, on a Friday night, its not packed in the small theaters. I like that a lot. The matinee is cheaper. Generally, they have three movies to choose from. Nice.

As a sailor stationed on NASNI Coronado, this is the most conveniently located theater (aside from the base theater of course). Now on to the movies they show... hardly anything to brag about with only 3 rooms (2 of which only seat about 30 people lol). It seems like they only show 3 genres here as well, and theyll only have 1 of each playing respectively (romantic comedy, action / adventure, horror). Popcorn sucks, but its cheap on the plus side. Overall, this theater is depressing.

Since its re-opening this theater has been one of my favorites in San Diego. If you want a decent priced film, comfortable seats, and (normally) a polite crowd, look no further. There is one large theater that shows the latest release, and two smaller theaters. I recommend making sure the film you are seeing is in the larger theater, as the smaller ones tend to feel like youre watching at home (not the best bang for your buck).

The theatre has recently been remodeled and is lovely! The theatres have murals of San Diego and Coronado, lush red curtains for the movie screens, vintage looking décor. I would only recommend seeing shows in Theater #1. The other two are tiny - and if you have to sit on the side, you have to crane your neck to once side for the entire film.

I have always enjoyed being at the Village Theater but frustrated that we can not find out what is playing beyond Thursdays until Friday news.. Sometimes the movie you want to see wont be shown again and you have no way of knowing that because the telephone number only gives current showings. Planning ahead can be impossible.

Perfect. They have 3 screens, but two of them only seat 34 people each which means you could end up in the front row. The one large screen is a beautiful artdeco theater. Its right out of Mayberry where everyone rides there bikes, skateboard or walks. Theater is a special treat

This is a smaller movie theater in the heart of Coronado California. It was built in 1947 I believe and it has a main screening room that holds a good amount of people and 2 smaller rooms that hold 34 people each. I love the vintage feel and the popcorn is really good.

What fun place to watch a movie. Old fashion with the currents that open in front of the screen, no previews or commercials and the most leg I have had in a theater. Price is great, $10.50 regular and $8.50 first showing of the day.

When I go to the movies in San Diego I have to contrast it with the experience I have here in town. Cozy, olde tyme calm and charm. Plenty of seating (get there early), lovely interior, great movies.....a wonderful respite.

Such a great theater. Everything was at a reasonable price. Not as crowded as the bigger theaters. Its nice to go down to a small intimate one and enjoy the history.

Our favorite theater. Cheaper than Mission Valley and so much less chaotic. Old school style with fun art deco interior. Best of all we can ride our bikes to a show.

Wow the murals on the wall are awesome! We came here to see the movie Inside Out and had a lot of fun. Popcorn is fresh and the theater is vintage.

Very cool theater, smallest theaters Ive ever been in, but it wasnt crowded. It was like going over a rich friends house that had a private theater.
