Big screens. Good food - no GREAT food. And defnitely great seating with its reclining seating. The atmosphere is also clean and inviting and all the staff patient, helpful, and polite. I dont remember the employee who got me my latte and donuts I ordered at the start of the movie but he was very patient and helpful in informing me how ordering worked. I also have to give points to the sound because it was quite clear and loud but not overwhelmingly so. I saw Kong: Skull Island in March of that year and though the LOT isnt IMAX screens it was just as impressive as the IMAX screening I had seen of Kong. The landscapes and wide shots of the giants of the movie looked as big as they might in real life from the screens at the LOT and that goes a long way. If I had to mark down any points it might be pricing but more expensive food and snacks are a given considering The LOT is also one half restaurant and a very good one at that. But I did buy lemon donuts, very delicious, but only got six small donuts. IDK maybe in my head I imagined larger donuts and Im just fat but I kinda wanted bigger donuts for the price. Also the fact outside snacks are allowed is a plus so one could do that but it is still worth it to get the wonderfully made food from the LOTs restaurant while watching a movie. It earns the 5 stars.

This is just a sad situation, because it has so much potential. The other luxury theaters Ive been to so far (Cinepolis, Angelika) execute so much better. I havent tried THE LOT in La Jolla, so I dont know if the problems exist within the whole franchise or just this specific location. The food is subpar compared to Cinepolis, for sure. The attitude of the servers inside the theater is of utter contempt - even disinterest would be an improvement. I received my order about 20 minutes before the end of the film, after ordering during opening credits. I asked for ketchup as a substitute condiment to buffalo sauce, and got mustard instead. I never got my drink after asking for it twice, and at the end of the film found out that they gave it to a guy 2 seats down from me even though he told them it wasnt his. Walked out of this place overhearing a lot of other patrons complaints, then visited Yelp to find that it appears they werent just having an "off day." This is the regular deal. Get it together, LOT. You have a good thing in a great, spot. Dont blow it.

So this is the 2nd time trying The LOT at liberty station. I have to say they have been constantly terrible. The 1st time our movie was supposed to start at 5pm and we couldnt even get seated until 5:03, due to it still needed to be cleaned. When we finally got to go in, the beginning previews were already on!!! are you kidding me?! We mentioned it to your server. Now today it the second time and again with the bad experience. Our movie was to start at 1pm. We didnt get to sit until 12:57. the movie that stated 1:15 right next to us was able to sit before us. Once we get to our seats, we tried to order. we pushed our light and our server never came. She finally showed up 20 mins before the ending and i had already gone to the concession stand once to get popcorn and water. We ordered 2 drinks and watched the ending. This is outrageous!!! For the money they charge for the TERRIBLE experience they are providing it crazy!!! I can not recommend this theater to anyone and its really sad. I will not be going again. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me!

Beautiful theater and great gourmet food/drink selection. Just went for the first time, and it was a little awkward. No server came up to where I was seated to take my order, but took everyone elses around me. Had to walk out front and find someone, I was told I had to turn a light on at my seat to get service? And my order could not be taken at the front concession stand (weird). For someone who is visiting for their first time, I had no idea. I thought it was very odd that somehow I was suppose to figure this out without any help or notification (maybe add that on the ticket or something?). I missed the first few minutes of the movie doing all this, so was a little annoyed. But eventually got service, when I pressed their light button. My recommendation to the theater is to better advertise this ordering system.

Extremely honest opinion and very patient/nice person here. I just wanted to voice my displeasure how I was treated with the Liberty Station Restaurant. I called this location for a dinner reservation on January 12th and verified with the hostess that Friday January 13th 5:30pm was ok only to find out there was a private event at the same time when I arrived. Nobody bothered to call me back to say there was a conflict with the reservation or a personal apology from the hostess that night. We ended up eating at Stone and I was so upset I passed on the free movie ticket promotions The Lot offered me. Giving them 1 star is generous. Thank you just wanted to vent out. Probably the worst service-oriented business I ever experienced.

Movie starts at 10:15 got there at 10:11 theater was a mess. They told us we "were a little bitt too early". Then half way in the movie pressed the service button which took Almost 15minutes for the guy to come take our order. I ordered fried chicken tenders and two waters..... Let me tell you we never got any of that and they never came to apologize. We waited until movie was over to complain and no staff or employees where anywhere around at all. Now I have to eat some freaking fast food from jack in the wack because I almost fainted of how hungry my fat as was. Definitely going back this week and giving you my "two cents" in person Assholes! Great movie by the way. It is called Wind river!

So I never thought Id be someone to order Brussels sprouts at the movies???? I love popcorn. Always. But if I had to choose between the two...Brussels hands down. Service in the theatre is very good. The service from where you but the ticket and then hand the ticket off....not do much. Last time I was there, I pretty much felt invisible to the woman I bought my ticket from. She was way busy talking to a co-worker. And, I felt like I inconvenienced the man I gave my ticket to going into the theatre. The food/Service inside the theatre is really good, but theyre only going to be able to carry the front staff so far...and frankly they shouldnt have to.

I set up a company event at the Lot. Nic was extremely attentive to our requests. He offered us a delicious array of select menu items and made sure there was a splash of decoration added to the venue. The atmosphere was very laid back with upbeat music and a breeze as we sat outdoors on a covered patio overlooking a beautiful fountain with lush, green landscaped areas surrounding it. The service was wonderful and we had a server who checked in with us often. Nic sat down for a bit and he was very generous with his time. He even gifted us several passes for our guests. The Lot is a great place to hold a company event. I totally recommend it.
