Great place to chill and relax with the family...had a blast with my granddaughter there! She just loves that "kiddie waterpark"...so be prepared if you have little ones! Huge place with awsome scenery...but except for the boat rides and small kiddie waterpark...not much else?! Would be nice if there were some swings, a seesaw or even a small merry-go-round? I remember my grand daughters first impression vividly as she looked around and with a firm yet confident deduction, looks me straight in the face and yells..."THERES NOTHING!!!" As I laugh histaricly...then hours later, start to cry... because I cant drag her away from the waterpark...!!! Great times to be had by ALL...fun for the whole family!!! 4 thumbs up!

Really great to play Pokemon Go because most of the Pokestops are all in a single line so you can reach them all quickly and efficiently, instead of having to wander aimlessly throughout a park Generally see people renting boats or doing like team boat events? Mostly college students playing Pokemon Go. See runners, skateboarders, bicyclists, people walking dogs Section to BBQ Nice scenic view, though under a highway, the train, and the light rail, if pollution/traffic sounds bother anyone. Near the light trail though for easy accessibility for anyone needing public transit, and near Mill Ave, so plenty in the area to do

This is a nice park, its fun to walk along the water. The park is mostly well lit at night, except a few areas. You can often find other people also there to enjoy the cooler evenings. Its usually breezier and cooler by the water, nice for cooling off in the summer. Large areas have been under construction for at least 1 year, possibly 2. There is also a consistent homeless population around the bathroom area. Ive never felt unsafe there, but I have felt uncomfortable in the area near the bathroom.

For 4th of July my husband and I purchased V.I.P tickets which cost $60 per person. It included seats in a misted area, food and drinks/ beers. The best part was 5 beers per person and everytime i went to get a beer i can ask for water or soda. The bad part was that the sun was beaming on us there was absolutely no shade and the mist didnt hit you. It was really bad because temperature was 115. Once the sun went down we started to enjoy and have a good time and the fireworks view was great

See if this makes any sense.... Lets say its a Friday or Saturday night. The bars are all open way into the early morning hours, the park has festivities to continue on up until midnight, and youve got a park located smack dab in the middle of a metro city area and yet the lake, i.e. all the kayakers or people enjoying a night paddle--especially in the SUMMER when DUSK doesnt even begin until 8 pm and its EVERYONE GET OFF THE LAKE at 10pm?? That makes NO SENSE to me!!!

Wanted to rent a paddle thingy, but the water looked like raw sewage and I wasnt going near it. Much of the park was under construction. My sister and I had wanted a little water whilst on our vacation to Arizona, and this is not the place we chose. We took the drive to Lake Pleasant instead and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly there. Previous poster indicated maybe the dam broke while we were there. I hope so, because you couldnt pay me to swim in that crud.

My favorite thing to do at Tempe Beach Park is to find a quiet place in the grass and drink and watch the sunset. This is a gorgeous date spot, a great place to get exercise or celebrate a birthday, they set up fun concerts and events here from Memorial Day to New Years to Fourth of July. Its right next to Mill Ave - which is the college drinking strip. Beware - homeless addicts do not shut up if they start talking.

There is nothing else like it in the Phoenix area. Great for exercise, family time, events, or just peaceful time. Its definitely man made and you feel it but its grand and bright and stunning. Lots of people frequent the area so dont expect privacy per se, but you probably wont be bothered by anyone. In a way the park is a hub of Tempe outdoor activity. I wish I made time to be there more often.

Early mornings by the lake are the best. This is a great place to get a run in or to just relax next to the water. The park also hosts Oktoberfest in October and the big 4th of July event in the summer. Its a good place to check out when the weather is nice. However, Ive noticed that some of Tempes homeless population tend to hang out in the park which can create a little bit of an uneasy feeling.

One of my favorite places to go to out in Tempe, very quiet and the people that go are usually friendly. Great area for a run or a bike ride, goodie fishing room. A plus is that its close to the bars and restaurants on mill ave. I would say the only downside is that homeless people tend to gather in the park area sometimes but they really dont even bother me so 5/5. I will continue to come here

This is the best place in the valley for any type of festival or large event. The setup is awesome, theres enough room for multiple stages or areas. The location of this place is also pretty primo, since its just a 2 block walk from the light-rail. The park itself is always pretty clean, and there are fun activities to do like the paddle boats and the prices are reasonable.

Great place for pretty much anything you can imagine at a park. Great bike riding, running, walking, having a picnic, hanging out with the kids. Lots of grass to throw a frisbee around or whatever. Theres also sand volleyball on the north side of the lake. All you have to do is take the Mill Ave bridge or the pedestrian bridge over the west dam to get there.

There are a lot of things I love about this park. The Sunsets are amazing, the evening walks are breezy, you can watch the planes fly low towards Sky Harbor and many more great things. What I like most is visiting the healing fields during the 9/11 memorial. A deep sense of peace will overpower you and you will be so grateful for the life you have.

Other than Pokemon and free concerts, Tempe Beach Park is not for me. There are homeless people sporadically throughout and the bathrooms are only open in one spot, which is far and almost out of the park altogether. The sights are still kind of nice, but I hate being hassled for money every few minutes when Im walking around.
