They have really cleaned up this park. Two years ago there were so many homeless living there I dont think anyone wanted to bring there families here. But now it looks great the playground area is huge with the woodchips to replace the sand making it much safer for the kids to play. There are three soccer fields with plenty of benches for sitting and watching the games. Plenty of shade trees for picnics and a pool for the kids to go swimming. There are still a few homeless during the week, but overall this park has really turned itself around. It is well maintained and with three soccer fields if one is closed the other two are ready to go. The tennis courts are nice could use a little more maintenance, but overall this park is a great place for picnics and watching soccer. Almost forgot there is a baseball field at the very end of the park with plenty of benches for watching the ball games and shade trees to sit under for that picnic while you watch those games. Job well done on this park.

I really enjoy this playground, its pretty clean and well maintained, only thing is that you might find a lot of homeless people hanging around the less populated areas because there is a church near by that feeds them, wish someone could do something about that problem. I think it would be safer and the bathroom would actually be clean they are so nasty right now.

One of my special afternoons is driving here with a lawn chair and a little picnic basket. I have found perfect spot under a tree where I can watch the kids playing in the playground and other people enjoying the park. I read for an hour or two and feel so much more refreshed than if I had stayed home and read!

This is a rather large park with a nice playground and plenty of sidewalk throughout. I believe this park gets irrigation so sometimes the ground is soggy but because of all the water there are big mature shade trees. Be careful at night. Cielito is a haven for the homeless and some unsavory activities.

Ive lived in the neighborhood for a number of years. Cielito Park is one of the best places for a family gathering: lots of shade from mature trees, plenty of grass for kids to run around, basketball courts, soccer fields, playground, picnic tables, grills, etc.
