Wayne Water
Very cool spot to chill and soak up some very energetic negative ions dispersed by the tons of falling waters. Very noisy, though, due to the emense amount of water passing over this once natural geological formation. It can also be a bit trash infested, and dirty, so keep watch on the kiddies, but a great place from the normal site seeing adventures within the city...Theres a Starbucks and Yogurt place real close - bonus!

Arizonas first hydroelectric plant, this is now a part of the Central Arizona Project canal system. It may not be a massive museum, but it does tell a history about Arizonas energy system. Just remember the water that courses through it and the canal is reclaimed system water - not for swimming, drinking, or fishing..!

such a fun place to watch a winter sunset in Phoenix! the water smells a bit fishy but... its got fish in it, what do you expect! plus there are interperetive signs that tell the history of the canals - from their native american origins until now! and theres a beer garage right down the street!

Excellent place to check out! Pretty interesting place in the middle of a city. Decided to check it out just because and it was definitely worth it. Relaxing summer nights...

Interactive tour was informative and well done. Enjoyed learning more about the history, upkeep, and services provided by the canal system.

off the beaten track, but easily accessible by bus. Did not expect to see water collected in irrigation canals in a desert !

It was a cool spot, but the smell of blooming algae and falling canal water was overwhelming.
