To Start 5 star would be an amazing course, 4 star would be a really good course. I would rate this course a 3.5 at this point. Staff was extremely friendly. Price was ok at $45 for a weekday. We hit a few balls to warm up at the range. The range wasnt big but that was ok because it wasnt busy first thing in the morning. You hit on real grass at the range. The course was somewhat challenging in places but I manage to hit my normal average of 95. I only golf a hand full of times a year so I found this course to be a good outing. Tee boxes and fairways were in good shape. The greens were only in rough shape on a few holes but they placed the pin away from these bad spots. For the most part they were in good shape. Play was a good pace. Finished in just over 4 hours. Afterwards we grabbed a bite to eat at the Restaurant, Christophers. Food was great, service was great and food was reasonably priced. $25 total for a burger, a sandwich, one beer and an iced tea. I recommend the Jerk Turkey Sandwich. All in all I dont ask for much when I play and this was good enough for me. The club house might be a little old but that is just cosmetic. It was a good course and friendly staff. It was a good place to play on vacation.

Ive played this course several times in past years but not recently. Members of our group called the pro shop to determine the current condition of the course and (of course they said this) we were told the course was is great shape. They specifically asked about the conditions of the greens and again were told they were in fine shape. Upon reaching the first green, if you want to call it that, it was almost unplayable. Most of the green was just dirt and the patches on most of it made the greens bumpy and impossible to get a good roll to have any chance of making a putt outside of 5 feet. This was by far the worst of all the greens but only five (generous) out of the other 17 were worth putting on at all. Grainy, bumpy and in many places were just dirt. Poor quality and not worth the money we paid to play. Play somewhere else.

.I have played Olde Point a number of times and have alway enjoyed the course and the experience. Not so this time. I played the course on Friday, August 14. The tee boxes, fairways and rough were not mowed and nobody looked like they were going to mow either. I worked maintenance on golf courses for 16 years and never have they looked as bad as this was. Also it appeared that they removed some sod around number 3 green to use elsewhere. Theres plenty of places to remove sod besides around a green. They also had 2 temporary greens because 2 had been re-seeded. We were charged $52 and this course was definitely not worth it since we had played Bear Trail on Monday and it was only $25 and in beautiful shape.

While on vacation, four of us found a tee time on Golf Now so we decided to come try out the course. When we got to the course the credit card machines were down (nobody thought to tell us this in advance), but thankfully we had cash. Ill have to admit that the course was in decent shape, but that is where my good experience stops. When we made the turn, we wanted to grab a few hot dogs and drinks. There is no snack bar where golfers can grab something quick at this course. The restaurant was full of old men who seemed to be members and who had no problem butting in front of other customers to refill their pitchers of beer. It took at least an hour to get out order which was simply four "golfer dogs".

Maybe a new owner but NO oversight. You can throw money at a place but it needs to be friendly groomed, ready to play and affordable. Seems like the rates went up and the services (apart from a shiny new cart) didnt. The new restaurant/Lounge is ok, too expensive, no entrees at lunch, just burgers, no dinner salads, just high priced Italian, $85.00 for dinner for 3 is way too much!! Dining room like a tomb, lounge better but just TVs blaring. Service was amateurish, give the place a vibe already! Prices have skyrocketed for no reason, out of town owner out of touch.

Course is terrible, way overpriced as the greens are horrible. Club pro is rude and they dont tell you about how bad the greens are. They paint a perfect picture on the telephone that the course is in great shape but it is by far the worst course in the area. If you want a really nice course go down the street to Castle Bay. The course is cheaper and the greens are plush.

Played Olde point today, and was shocked at the turn around in just two months. New General Manager, Superintendent, and Restaurant. All greens were great except #9[some rain erosion].I played it this summer and vowed not to play again however my friends were playing it and I didnt want to a be a killjoy, so i reluctantly joined them. glad i did!

Finally someone who understands quality in a country club, there has been a lot of changes all for the good the golf course is leaps and bounds better in just a short time, and wait to you set at the newly renovated pool under the palm trees, it doesnt get any better than this.

I came to use the driving range with my family. Unfortunately I was turned away for not wearing a collard shirt to use the range. The course and facilities look nice and I wish I could have stayed but we decided to go somewhere else that is more casual /family friendly.

the layout is good but the course is in terrible shape. The greens are a mess, we teed off at around 730 on a sunday morning and several of the fairways were not mowed. Not worth the 30 dollars it cost. Extremely dissapointing place to play.

The course is a lot better than it was last year. The new superintendent has improved just about every aspect of the course. Once the restaurant reopens, Olde Point will have my vote for one of the best courses in the area.

First course Ive ever played. (Only did the back nine on my birthday this past Wednesday) seemed a little pricey for 9 holes, especially since there was literally no one else out and it was mid week, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

For $47 to play 18 holes, this is not a quality course. The fairways are filled with as much dead grass as alive. The greens are a mix of dirt, sand, and spotty sections of grass.
