Just so quiet and peaceful here, a rich civil war history unlike any other civil war battlefield I have visited, but you need to know your history to even vaguely understand what took place here, am still learning and discovering new things with every visit.

Its very beautiful. Has a lot of trails and the history is amazing. I too recommend ghost hunting. Ive heard random cannon fire off in the distance. Spooky but at the same time amazing. Especially the Bloody Angle.

Its profoundly historic, and inside, fairly undisturbed. The trails thru the woods, and the old earthworks help you forget how close modern life is. The wildlife there is wonderful, and its incredibly peaceful.

A beautiful place with an unbelievably bloody history. The Bloody Angle was the second bloodiest battle of the civil war with over 17,000 casualties on May 12th 1864 alone.

Paranormal experience. I have audio of what can only be described as cannons firing in the distance. I want to come back and spend more time here. Hallowed ground.

A must for Civil War buffs. When I went it was overcast and windy, so very few visitors. If you know about the Bloody Angle, to actually be there is haunting.
