I got married at Keswick Vineyards this past July and I could not have been happier with my choice of venue. Every one of my guests that I spoke to mentioned that the vineyard and ceremony site were so much more beautiful in person than they were in the pictures they had seen before they arrived, and I completely agreed! Every location at this venue was in immaculate condition; the grape vines were full and gorgeous, the indoor spaces (bathrooms and dressing rooms) were very clean, stylish, and comfortable, the flowers around the fountain were perfectly manicured, and everything just glittered in the natural light. I was so happy with the reception space here as well! The astro-turf under the reception tent was completely wondrous as I didnt have to worry about "aerating the lawn" with my high heels, and I didnt notice any bugs crawling up my dress. Actually, I didnt notice any bugs at all the whole time, nor did I end up with any bug bites from the day, which is pretty amazing since I refused to wear bug repellent, because who wants to smell like that on their wedding day? And I was so impressed with their sound system. The music that our DJ played sounded great on the dance floor, but was really directed so that you could still easily carry on a conversation if you werent dancing. The only thing I regret is that I didnt think twice about how hot it would be in the middle of July, but when we realized the day before the wedding that it would probably be over 100 degrees out, the people at the vineyard were wonderful and helped us rent fans for the reception at the last minute, and the heat ended up being manageable. We were all sweating during the ceremony, but after that, the shade, fans, and drinks did their work and everyone was fine. I highly recommend Keswick Vineyards to other brides. It is completely gorgeous and made for some really unforgettable wedding pictures! The staff is super helpful, and easy to get in touch with, and best of all the wine here is really delicious! We are so so glad that we decided to get married here!

I never write reviews but I really felt I should give me opinion on this place since the other reviews are mainly positive. I recently was a maid of honor at a wedding here and the experience was horrible. I have been over 15 weddings and my experience here was by far the worst. The heat was excruciating (over 100) and I got numerous ant bites during the ceremony alone. Since the reception is also outside guests literally were passing out from the heat. The place is also swarming with tons of bugs especially bees which covered all the food for the reception so people were scared to get any. I was really excited to go because the pictures on Keswicks website look amazing but the actual place seems really run down and from what my friend (the bride) experienced the staff didnt give her any help other than allowing them to use the land (really surprising given how much $$$ she paid!) For anyone considering a wedding here (especially in the summer) please consider the factors I mentioned...very few of the guests at the wedding had a pleasant experience and many left early.

My husband and I fell in love with Keswick Vineyards at first sight. Between the Edgewood estate, the ceremony site right next to the vines, the pond (with swans!), the fountain, and the blue ridge mountains in the background, we could not have imagined a more beautiful or stunning location for our wedding. The owners, Al and Cindy, have dedicated their lives and home to providing this amazing venue, and they have cut no corners. Unlike other vineyards in the area, a couple has access to Keswick for the entire day of the wedding, so we were able to get ready, relax, and enjoy the beautiful property -- Cindy drove us around in a golf cart so we could take pictures at different spots all over the property. Cindy even followed us around with her camera and handed me a CD of pictures at the end of the night! In addition to the beautiful venue, Keswick Vineyards is a great Virginia winery. Their tasting room is welcoming (to people and dogs!), and their wines are great. We were excited to serve such delicious wine at our wedding!

The winemaker here is amazing. He proves that winemaking is an artform. The staff is all very friendly and informed. They only serve 5-8 wines at a time, unlike some other wineries. Personally, I think its perfect. The staff understands the wine and can tell you about it. You can appreciate the wine and the differences, rather than chugging 25 different kinds. The setting is beautiful. The tasting room is kind of small, but it keeps it intimate and cozy. It is the perfect tasting room for this winery. Some of their wines get pricey, but they are truly wonderful wines (so long as you arent looking for sweet wines... they definitely keep with the dry and tannic style.) I am from california, but these wines are very impressive. They have a great wine club. You buy three wines every 3 months. Some of their best wines are made in small batches and only available to wine club members. If you like their wine, it is great. There are some really fun events for wine club members, that I go to when I can. Love this winery.

My wife and I took a winery tour in the Charlottesville area in early August. Coming from Charlottesville, Keswick was the trickiest to find, but in the end, was the favorite of the four wineries we tasted/toured. Their tasting room is very welcoming and comfortable. The staff are very knowledged in the product. There is a video you can watch that describes how the winery was started. I was impressed by the number of awards Keswick has won in the short time theyve been in existence. Our favorite white was the "Les Vents des Anges" viognier. Their red blends are also excellent. Regarding the negative review made by "pear" regarding the wine club, it clearly states on the sheet with the application that there are quarterly offerings of wines based on the level of membership. The membership itself is free, but the wines offered as part of the club are not. If I lived close enough, I would join, since, living in Maryland, they cant ship wines to me.

As the mother of the bride, I wanted my daughter to have the sun, moon and the stars on her wedding day. I wanted her wedding to be the experience of a lifetime, as it should be. As every bride and her mother knows the venue is a major factor in a wedding. (The groom of course is THE major factor) ... and having our (I meant her) wedding at Keswick was indeed a magically choice. Everyone went above and beyond in making my daughters dream wedding come true. The photograher couldnt stop taking photos of the bridal party by the fountain, the pool, the pond, and all points in between. Yes it was an outdoor wedding, yes it was hot - but there were many options like fans and so forth that continued to save the day. We couldnt be more happier with our choice in venue. My daughters summer wedding was truly magical. And it was exactly how I thought it should be. Thank you!!!!
