We have a group of 40-50 guys based out of Williamsburg that play every three weeks at the nicest courses from Cape Charles to Richmond (Green/ Gold Horseshoe, Fords Colony, Bay Creek, Traditions Clubs, etc). First off the value was amazing, Green Fees, food and beverage were very affordable, not to mention the crab cake sandwich was unbelievably good! The course itself was second to none the overall shape was an A+ and the greens were the exemplary (very quick but held the ball well). There were biblical rains the entire week before we played and I was shocked at how good the shape of the course was. I got an overall great feeling that the staff actually cared I had a good time, I didnt feel like just a $ figure to them like most places. I would highly recommend King Carter to anyone looking to have a excellent day of golf!!

This is the best course in the northern neck of Virginia by far. we drive an hour and a half to get there and it is well worth the drive. Very nice flat tees. Wide green fairways, and the greens are the nicest true rolling greens I have played all year. We had lunch at the turn, the food was great and the price was right. It is well worth a trip.

The best conditioned course in the Northern Neck, with the nicest facilities. Clubhouse food was very good, especially after a hot day on the links. Too many blind shots to the green for 5 stars. That just means I need to play there more often! Id give it 4.5 stars, if that was an option.

Played here on a rainy Tuesday. The gentleman working the pro shop and cafe was so great! Course was in AMAZING shape. Even with all the rain it was firm! Greens were fast, true and fair. Scored one of the best rounds of my life. The value here cannot be beat. I will be back!

one of my favorite courses in VA. With almost every course in VA using Bermuda rough, it is refreshing to play in something different and the blue grass offers that. I love this course. Always well maintained and challenging but fair.

Last course we played on our trip. Enjoyed it a lot. Greens rolled true.Little above average speed. Lots of fescue. Generous fairways. Challenging course. Need accurate approach shots! Definitely play again.

Aside from the bunkers, its in excellent condition. The raised greens present a tough challenge if youre a bit "off" with iron play.

Nice day of golf. The greens could use some work.
