The view is very nice from a few greens as its right next to Cayuga Lake. Its fun for a quick 9 rounds, but its not worth the full 18. The prices are fair, but you really have to find out when leagues are, or else you will be waiting forever. The course offers 3 putting and chipping areas, so at least youll have something to do. I also agree that greens could have been kept up a little better and also that there should be more emphasis on picking up your trash, or having someone who works there to do it. There were wrappers and empty water bottles scattered around. All in all its still an okay course.

The greens on this golf course were probably the best part and were nicely manicured. However the fairways were in poor shape even after a very wet week. In addition the carts were very poorly maintained, slow, and dirty. Also the employees were very rude for no apparent reason. None of the holes were very innovative, and even though this is a city course I was expecting a much better experience. I would not recommend this golf course especially when there are much better courses nearby which are close to the same price.

Known throughout Central New York for excellent greens and challenging shot-making. A public 9-hole course, fun for golfers of all ages and all abilities. Top players come from all over for the Newman Best Ball competition around July 4 every year. Well prepared and well manicured by a highly trained and experienced staff, Newman is a local favorite. Nestled beside Cayuga Lake the course has wonderful views of the surrounding hills. Very walkable and very welcoming.

Wonderful place to relax and just golf. Great place for those just starting out if you call ahead to avoid a tourney. Challenging enough for the experienced. Cant beat the view or the price. Pro shop small but has the basic necessities. Worth checking it out for yourself.

Best course for the price in the area, some of the trickiest greens around, for the money the city allows Mike (Addicott) he does a great job with what he has

Tight fairways, small greens. If you play well here, you can play well anywhere.
