The entertainment is always top notch! I miss having people from the cast wait on the tables. Our server was good, just a little green around the edges. The food is what brought the rating down. I have worked in restaurants, cooking and serving, so please know I am speaking from a place of some knowledge and experience. The limited menu selections and the food that is prepared in advance is understandable however overcooked, pale vegetables, dry desserts, and a lack of flavor in some dishes could be avoided with better planning and more preparation on the day of... Also, I have heard rumors that the wait staff has taken a very serious cut in pay; that is going to hurt you. You should be paying them a high enough hourly rate and guaranteeing them great tips, so that you can bring in well experienced and confident employees. Bartenders should make their own tips from the people they serve. Bus help should receive minimum or better wage with a small percentage from each server. Chefs, cooks, etc should be paid a good hourly rate based on experience and performance, with regular increases.

THE SHOW WAS FANTASTIC "SOME ENCHANTED EVENING" . ALSO THE BEST EXPERIENCE IN FOOD MENU WAS WHEN WE HAD THE BAKED PORK CHOP IN APPLE BUTTER SAUCE. WE HAVE BEEN TELLING EVERYONE ABOUT HOW GOOD THE FOOD IS NOW AND THAT PORK CHOP WAS SELECTED OUTSTANDING AND COOKED TO PERFECTION AND THE SAUCE WAS SO GREAT I HAVE HAD TO HUNT TO FIND A WAY TO PREPARE THIS AT HOME THE SAME WAY. DO NOT ADVERTISE IT ENOUGH. SO DIFFERENT AND SO GOOD AND THE STAFF WAS FANTASTIC. WE WILL GO BACK HOWEVER PRICEY. ONE SUGGESTION IS TO HAVE MICHAEL HOOVER BACK. THAT WAS A GREAT SHOW AND I KNOW NOT PLAY ACTING BUT A GREAT SHOW TO BE REPEATED. FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON HE WAS NOT BACK THIS YEAR WOULD LIKE TO SEE HIM FOR CHRISTMAS SHOW. IF HE IS THERE WE WILL DEFINITELY GO AGAIN.

My 5th time at Riverside, plays have always been very good. Service was terrible, our server disappeared, our meal wasnt brought until 2:25, while others were getting deserts, others were getting their meal at 2:50. Show late, didnt start until 3:30. Their was a wedding booked at the same time, long lines for the restrooms, 4 stalls to accommodate the wedding party of 100 with children, along with a full house (at least 200) in the theatre, long lines. should be reported to Board of Health. Tables were not cleared until intermission. Very disorganized. Food was mediocre & very salty, most are seniors & should not have salt. I think greed had you have the wedding at the same time as the show adding to the problems. We were very disappointed.

Riverside is a fun place to go with friends and family. Quality of shows is generally good. Quality of food is generally poor... I think within our group we have tried all of the available entrees and nobody has ever had a positive impression. The facility is very nice and clean and everyone can see and hear everything happening on stage. The troupe always seems to have a good chemistry and energy although the talent level is highly variable, as you would expect in a dinner theatre. So, in our experiences... good acting, good singing, good dancing, rarely spectacular, never disappointing... except for the food. Riverside will cost you about $75 per person (plus drinks, if you care for something other than water, tea or coffee).

What nostalgia to see The Sharks and The Jets come to life on stage last night! The dancing, singing, acting, directing, choreography and staging were all up to Riversides fine standards, as was the dinner and service. Watching Tony and Maria fall in love through song, however, was a step above. Their voices blended beautifully, and their scenes were romantic and believable. Quinn Vogt-Welch (Maria) could have made Natalie Woods original soundtrack! Great casting all round!

Was planning a wedding. Signed an initial contract in the winter for the wedding in the summer 2015. New wedding management took over and raised the price $10,000. Yup you read right. Raised it Ten Grand. Needless to say we changed venues. Even though they broke the contract, we didnt get our $500 deposit back. They also promised renovations to be done by our reception/wedding date and they just now started it three months after. Thank god we got out.

I had a great time at Legally Blonde. I was disappointed with the food, it was very lousy. I had the sausage which should have been called "hot dog with some pineapple." I was very impressed with the talent in the play. I am originally from PA and love going to see Broadway productions. I have seen Legally Blonde on Broadway 3 times, and was still impressed with the talent in the show. Overall, I thought it was overpriced, but a great show.

Very enjoyable evening with my wife and two other couples last night watching the musical "Seven Brides for seven brothers". Attentive dinner service led by a young woman who turned out to be one of the Brides" in the show. Professional and entertaining performance, especially from the two leads in the musical. My thanks to the cast for their excellent performance.

This is the third time Ive been to Riverside DT, and every show has been delightful! I wasnt crazy about the food choices this time, however. It was also very cold inside, so next time Ill dress accordingly. And there will be a next time! Sound was too loud, but the performers were outstanding!

We were on a bus tour so this was chosen for us. But I have to say I was not disappointed. The food was quite delicious and the show was excellent. As good as I have seen elsewhere. We saw My Fair Lady. If I lived in the area, I would come here often.

Went here for opening night of Hello Dolly starring Sally Struthers. I honestly thought it would be boring, but boy was I wrong. Sally stole the show and kept us laughing and enjoying her singing also! A must see! Hello Dolly running now (May 6, 2011)

Great performers putting on a top notch show. Sound volume was s bit too loud for my tastes but tolerable. The young performers were a real surprise. Talented kids who kept up with the professionals and added greatly to the show.

The show was very good, the actors are extremely talented, and their enthusiasm and energy was contagious. As always, the food was excellent and served quickly. This theater always presents excellent shows, worth the admission.

I had my wedding reception here years ago. It was a good setting for a nice but non-pretentious wedding; the room was lovely and we got a special price on the food by serving whatever the dinner theatre was having.
