Highland Lanes is an excellent bowling experience with nearly new alleys and scoring machines. The prices are not eye-popping like most of the franchise alleys all around the Milwaukee area. While they may not have as much open bowling as other houses, that does not automatically make this a bad place to go. My kids have been bowling in their junior leagues since they were able to bowl and now have become very good bowlers thanks to the instruction (free of charge) thats been provided every Saturday morning for as many years as they have been in the league. I do not know of any small-size bowling house that just sits and waits for open bowlers all hours of the day every day of the week. That is not the way a smaller bowling business is run.

I just read your review and called to see if they have open bowling tonight- turns out they have leagues every single night- how pathetic- you would think that a neighborhood bowling alley would have at least 2 open lanes on a SATURDAY night. open bowling is from 2-6. lame also for some reason my review will only let me give it 5 stars.. They only deserve one!
