I received a coupon for three free games of bowling so we went into Bowl. We didnt need shoes or balls because we bowl at several bowling alleys and also on a league at another alley. We were interested in leagues until we bowled. Well after the balls getting stuck more than three times before the 6 frame and the scoreboard putting whatever score a wanted I repeatedly went up to the counter to ask them to fix it it took forever but the guy that was fixing the balls was very friendly cant say the same for the guy that was working at the counter on Saturday night August 19th at 7 p.m. just so they know exactly who is working I have never been in an alley after trying to repeatedly fix the lane that they dont move you to one that works after being completely frustrated from trying to play three games we left in the middle of the last game due to the ridiculous attempt to fix the balls from sticking when I told the man at the counter we were leaving he said well we try to fix it I dont understand I explained to him I have bowled at several Alis and I have never had a place that was not willing to move you when their alleys were not functioning it was nothing to do with our bowling and there were lanes available all over I love the Pro Shop but I will never bull there again that was beyond ridiculous and I brought it to their attention and they did nothing to make sure that theres customer was satisfied but a response of we try to fix it you are broken Machinery is not my problem and you have now ruined my Saturday evening I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone ever and now I know why friends of mine have complained dont waste your money

Its been a while since Ive visited GRC. The place is newly renovated & very nice. However, the customer service department is extremely lacking. Apparently whoever manages their website posted an offer for Saturday nights that is $30 for 4 people to bowl for an hour & includes a pizza after 7pm on a Saturday. A group of us showed up after 7pm on Saturday & were told that the ad was not supposed to be available until March 1st. A few of us even traveled from over an hour away to have some fun. When we spoke to Michelle she informed us that there was an error with that post, and that if we wanted to stay and bowl we would have to cosmic bowl because their were leagues. We also would have to pay the cosmic bowling price & our pizza was not free. "We should have called first" was what we were told. The very least that couldve been offered to us was to honor the advertisement & let us bowl where it was available, and to not feel like it was our fault for not calling ahead of time. GRC falsey advertises apparently that there is open bowling all the time (make sure you call ahead), and apparently the deals posted on their website may not be actual (make sure you call ahead.) Things happen, I get it....thats where customer service steps in and either makes or breaks the day. In this case - failure.

The only reason I go here is because it has open bowling available when Sheridan Lanes doesnt have open bowling. GRC gives you a time limit on your bowling. Watch the bottom left corner of the scoreboard next time you bowl here. When you have 5 minutes left, a little bubble will pop up saying "your games will end soon". This will force you to bowl as fast as you can if you are in the beginning of a new game. Theyre pushy about their (EXPENSIVE) package deals. I come here to bowl, not to be ripped off. Also, the lanes are too close together. I hate sometimes having to walk around people standing around at the lane next to me (especially if theres like 6 or more people) just so I can grab my ball, and line up for my shot. Their staff CAN be friendly, but arent. Its also loud a lot of the time. I hate having to yell when Im talking to someone. I have never been pleased with GRC for these reasons.

Was looking for a good bowling alley to become a regular at after moving here from FL. I found GRC and have never had a bad experience! The staff is great and the atmosphere is awesome! They really have the sports covered on the several tvs they have. The establishment is well taken care of. I cant thank GRC enough for all they have done for myself and my church. We have used GRC for several outings and functions for our church and have ALWAYS been welcomed. Yea...I am sure there are other bowling alleys in Kenosha and surounding areas that people could argue with me about, but I am proud to say Guttormsens Recreation Center is my home bowling alley!

Yeah GRC is nicely rennovated, but after going here numerous times, the repetitive horrible customer service will keep me away for good. Not only is the customer service horrible but its very costly, lack of bowling balls for a "full house" people kept taking ours while we were bowling, this certain day I paid $52 for two hours of bowling while at least 30 minutes of that I was waiting for my pins to reset or having to call someone to come fix the thing that lifts the pins up. Overall Id never recommend this to anyone ever again.

As far as a bowling center GRC is a great place. When it comes to the Leagues that pay the bills GRC needs a lot of improvement. This will be the last time I bowl on a league here because the rules prohibit you from doing a make-up on the weekend. I just walked out of the place on Sunday morning at 09:10 and there were 25 open lanes and they won’t let me make-up because they might get other people coming in to bowl. Please…

It is Sunday a little after 9. I came with a group of people to bowl the 9-12 special. The website along with there voice mail claims that they are open but it is now 20 after and no one is here. If you are not going to be open on the days and times posted on your site and voicemail you need to update them so peoples time is not waisted.

The employees were incredibly rude and didnt care one bit to censor themselves in front of my kid. Also, I cant tell you how much I enjoy people smoking at the doors of an establishment. Especially when theyre in uniform and do not care to move away from a family exiting with small children.

We just had a big family birthday party - we had the best time! We had several lanes reserved for us, a beautiful room to ourselves and awesome homemade pizzas. We had such a fun time we decided to make this an annual destination for January birthdays.

This is my favorite bowling alley. Good prices, good food, and moonlight bowling, nothing like what the other bowling Allys offer. This will always be my first pick of a place to go bowling. Great environment to have fun with family and friends.

I visit bowling alleys across the country to pass time. This place is great! They have an awesome "All-Day Cosmic Bowling" area, full bar, food, over 20 lanes, and at least 50 TV screens. Most importantly...its very very clean.
