I cant sing enough praises for this place and the only reason why I am not giving it 4 stars is because sometimes the service can be slower. I have been there to listen to jazz and my ladies motorcycle group meets here often. The family side is open to all and I think the food I have had there is very good. Drinks are not watered down bathwater like some places that charge much much more and the only thing they have to offer is high prices and ambience. Both Jeff and his daughter Jamie are friendly. I judge places by how clean the bathrooms are and would say they are clean. As far as the reviewers that said the staff was drunk and another that said they were doing drugs. I have never seen it and have looked in the kicthen to talk with and thank the cooks/chefs. Its not many places where you can ask to talk with the owner and have him come out (he also works there). I would not have any worries with taking my 3 year old here and have. Shes had the childrens Mac-n-cheese and let me tell ya, it was the yummiest I have ever tasted. The icecream is good too and the garlic fries were great. The portions are not small. And ya know what, its really nice to go out, get a good meal, order a drink and cokes and still have a bill under $22.... (for 2 adults and 1 child).

The only thing this place has going for it is the decorations, they would get 10 stars for that if possible. It has one of the coolest looking bars downstairs and the floor is painted with neat designs upstairs. They also probably have the nicest bathrooms on s tacoma way. All the music weve seen has been great. They mostly have blues/country/rock-ish rather than your standard Top 40 bands. Now for the food... the salads get 5 stars, everything else on the menu gets 1. For being a pizza place you would think the pizza would be great but we havent had a good one yet. The standard cheese pizza is rubbery and the pepperoni one is really greasy. They have lots of other concoctions too and some are weird, the ones we had were edible but didnt leave you feeling very good. About half the time whatever we ordered would come out burnt on the outside and not cooked enough on the inside. The wait staff is kinda hit and miss. The first time there I was completely ignored, even while standing up at the bar trying to order something. All the other times they had a waitress for the tables. As Beverly stated below, it is almost always way too cold and the music they play over the speakers is pretty loud as well.

As beautiful as the inside of the Stonegate is it is unfortunate that the owner is not the same. I have found the bands to be lacking and the service hard to get on the weekends when Stonegate is supposed to be at its best. I went in to watch a comedy show and was appalled to see two bar tenders but one server for both upstairs and down stairs. I could not believe it and decided to leave after waiting an hour for my drink. When I asked the staff about the price of my ticket and the lack of service they referred me to the owner Jeff Call. Well let me tell you .. I was greeted by a drunk with what appeared to be white powder ( I assume from a doughnut ) under his nose. I told him about the lack of service and asked if I could receive my money back for my ticket I was quickly cussed out and told to leave his place. I had been coming in due to the bar tender Becca who is amazing and was hoping to give the place another chance. Well now that I know what kind of person owns the place I will not be coming back. I am afraid the owner will soon find that the treatment of employees and patrons needs to be better to stay in business. Good luck with it and no powdered doughnuts next time

Agree with Davids comments. Our group of 6 women (60-ish) ate there last night. While the waitress and owner were very friendly and prompt with service, the restaurant was very cold. Thoughtfully, they brought us a space heater to keep us warm. The background music was too loud to carry on much conversation. If youre like one of us whove had our hearing lessened because of all the loud music WE listened to when we were younger, you might consider getting pizza to go rather than eating in.

I went on Tuesday night and was very pleased with the place. A lot of love and hard work went into putting it together. Good pizza, good band! And what fun, you can live out your fantasy and join the jam up on stage! BYOI and party! The staff were wonderfully sweet and attentive. I havent been there on a weekend night so I dont know about the other reviews here... but just going on how well we were treated Tuesday, I find it hard to understand the bad riviews! Well definately be back!

I have to agree with several of the statements about the art work. It was amazing. But as someone who has worked in a Kitchen I would not recommend eating there. I stopped by the kitchen to ask the cooks about the food and was greeted with a horrible sight. The floor was trashed and greasy, the counters looked like they hadnt been cleaned for days, and I was disgusted to find the employees doing drugs right in the kitchen. Needless to say I quickly left and will not be back.

Despite their advertisement, they do not have the best pizza in town. I can name 4 others that have better (The Rock, Cloverleaf, Farrelli’s and Neo’s). Service was slow and rude. Staff apologies for the long wait for food didn’t make up for the overall experience. The décor was nice, but a bit over the top and dainty. I thought this was a Rock and Roll Bar! My recommendation… go someplace else. Any place else.

Been there a few times to listen to live music. Wont go back anymore, due to HORRIBLE service. If I have cash in hand, and am kindly waiting at a bar, I would truly like to not get a look from a bartender that I am inconveniencing her, I just want a beverage. This has happened every time Ive been in there with multiple servers. This is not a personality issue, this is a training issue.

Food, service, drinks, were a rip off. Tips were totally unappreciated. Did make contact with the owner who was arrogant and rude.. Passed, now, nor in the future would I work for this place.. Or put my name to it Lots better venues very near.. you can walk to once review has been confirmed. so yes go check them out make your own review.. this is mine...
