Carbon is a chic lounge thats actually quite deep and spacious. Theres lots of seating and a DJ and dance floor in the back as well. Its largely broken apart into a front section thats more of a lounge and a back section that has a club-like dance floor and VIP style seats. The lighting is appropriate for a club without being too dim. It seems to draw a late 20s to mid 30s predominantly Asian crowd thats grown up from slumming it in Chinatown. Theres not a lot of security or dress code enforcement at the door, but the patrons seem to dress up quite a bit (especially for SF) here. Drinks run about $9-11 a pop and its the standard gamut of mixed "club drinks" and shots that are usually ordered here. Theres no cover here though, which is always a big plus.

This place was nice, there is plenty of open space...although most of it is up because of the high ceilings. It might also be because the place doesnt get crowded. The ambiance is definitely a lounge setting with "background" music. Most people are there are younger asians. Not a bad looking crowd, but I find it ironic that the people here are usually more dressed up than most places even though it does not have a dress code. It probably cause most people that come here are here for a special event of some kind. Bar service is speedy, but again because it wasnt crowded. Overall not bad, but with so many other lounges in the city, it just feels like it hasnt been fully developed or realized.

The first thing I thought of when I walked in was that this place was very posh. I loved the couches and how spacious the place is. Unfortunately it was dead on a Saturday night at 10pm. I know 10pm is early still, but there was no more than 20 people there (and my group alone was 12 people). It did pick up a little bit later, but overall the place remained pretty empty all night. The bartender was very nice, he made custom drinks to our liking and was very chatty. Overall I enjoyed the venue, but parking is a pain in this area.

Name is deceptive its actually bronzish and many shades of brown not the color of carbon. Bartenders are quick make strong drinks and they play decent dance music here. We always have fun here and if you didnt have a good time theres a XXX shop right next door. And a respectable pizza place to the right open real late. So either way enjoy yourself ;)

Its always a pleasure to attend Aerogram. The service is great with no water-downed drinks. Friendly bartenders and amazing decor. Its Pomona best bar, period.
