Im not sure how Id looked over The Triple Door until last night. This venue is a perfect marriage of fine dining, performance, and my sad, slimming wallet. To show my colors as a cheap-o local dive type of concert-goer, I would describe it as a ritzd up version of Chop Suey. The space has great acoustics and lends itself to an intimate feel, though its about the size of an IMAX theater. They do a solid job of keeping an eye toward local up-and-comings like Lemolo and Kris Orlowski (note: this review written 10/19/12) There are tables and booths open to reservation, standing room by the bar in the back, and elevated opera-style VIP rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows. The venue is catered by Wild Ginger, so the menu is an approachable mix of prices and Southeast Asian fusion (Im not a huge fusion fan, but its pretty good as far as these things go). The service is extremely formal, and the valet is $10 for the night, if you pay with your meal. My one complaint is the steep price of the drinks menu, but I suppose thats the world we live in.

I have just visited the triple door for the first time and it was fantastic. I was seeing one of my favorite bands so of course I loved the music. But I was also very impressed with the staff, food, lighting and seating. The theater area has one of the absolute best seating arrangements I have ever seen, no matter where you sit the view is great, I was seeing a double set and was able to sit in two very different locations. I have read a couple negative reviews about the food but ordered a few things and it was all fantastic. I had their pad thai and some chicken satay and a chocolate dessert. All of the food was great and the presentation impeccable, I plan to go back just for the chocolate dessert, unlike anything I have ever had and so very good. And this review is getting pretty long, so I will just say I had a great time and have no idea what the negative reviewers were talking about!

Ive been to the Triple Door more than a dozen times in recent years, mostly to see Lily Verlaines shows. The shows are great! And up until the last show I went to on August 5, 2016, so was the food! But to my great disappointment the fantastic menu had changed. None of my favorite dishes were on it. No Princess Prawns, no Phoenix, nothing. The food my friend and I ordered was so-so and barely fit on the tiny plates. My friends serving was accompanied by literally a tablespoon of rice. I also chewed on something in my slider hard enough to break my tooth. I told my server and gave it to her. She said shed tell the chef. Thats all I ever heard about it. Anyway, I was SO disappointed, that Im writing this food review in hopes that the menu (and chef?) will change back to the way it used to be, and before my next show Im going to! Heres hoping for good food again at Burlesco Divino!

I used to come by here whenever we go out. This time was a big dissapointment. Wasnt as busy as it can get but the service was horrible. We spent over 30 minutes waiting for service. One of my group even stood at the bar only to be ignored. This isnt the Musiquarium lounge were used to frequenting. Lots of empty seats. Its going to be hard to recommend this place to anyone. Unfortunately one person in my party is a concierge for a local hotel. She wanted to check the place out because guests are always looking for places to go close by. Not a good first impression for bringing more customers in especially when I was raving to her about this place. I give this place 2 stars based on my experience with the service tonight. I did think the live music was great as it always has been in the past visits, but I go to a lounge to drink and socialize not just for the music only.

I attended a concert at The Triple Door of the first time recently and liked the experience enough - appropriately focusing on the venue and not considering the artist, for the purposes of this review - that I will almost certainly return in the future. The only negative for me was that the food choices that fit my vegan dietary preference were quite limited and the taste of the food that I actually ordered was not stellar, which was a disappointment due to the hype attached to Wild Ginger and to the expectations generated by that restaurants status; but the food was more than acceptable and the service was quite good. I did not purchase alcoholic beverages, the prices of which seemed "high" to me but are probably inline with those of other similar establishments.

We attended the christmas burlesque show on Xmas eve. It was spectacular! Weve always been impressed with the shows and entertainment the Triple Door showcases. We also love Wild Ginger! Im sorry others apparently had a rough time of it, but our service was amazing and our food arrived hot and delicious as weve always expected. I am hard pressed for a better pad thai in Seattle than wild gingers. My folks had the salmon dish and the steak dish and both raved about them. We stayed within walking distance so we didnt worry about parking. But there are several garages close by for those that need to arrive by car. Very handy. Well definitely be back to the Triple Door in the future! Happy Holidays to all the staff! Thanks for making the holiday a fun special time!

Standing room tickets are a rip off - dont buy them as there is really very limited standing room - this is not like many other venues that have actual standing room space. The ticketing service that they use is rude and will hang up on you if you are calling about a refund that was due to issue caused by the front desk staff. Which brings us to the main reason for this bad review: I upgraded standing room tickets to table tickets at the front desk and was double-billed for the tickets. Getting the matter resolved was time consuming and way more complex than it needs to be. Essentially, the ticketing service has nothing to do with the front desk and they will have you chasing your tail trying to resolve a double-billing issue caused by front desk staff.

I love seeing shows at the triple door. They always book quality shows, and the tickets are expensive enough to keep out the hoi polloi. My one and only gripe about this place is: If you are going to serve an estate Keemun tea, please serve it in a manner which allows me to control the extraction time. Bringing loose leaf tea in a teapot with a small glass means the first cup will be good (it was) and each successive one will be more bitter (they were). May I suggest leaving the leaves in an infusion ball? Or maybe you could bring two pots? The waiter, when I informed him of the problem, said, "Well, its loose leaf..." as he shrugged. As though all loose leaf tea must be bitter. /rant

this really is a good place for music and shows (and food as well). weve been to several things here, and have added several more to the calendar. shows include everything from cello music (zoe keating, awesome) to burlesque (the bombshells rock!) to everything in between. catering is done by wild ginger, just up around the corner, and the food is usually excellent, though yes, it can be a little pricey. the booths in the middle, and some of the side seating up front are best, but be aware you may be required to purchase the whole booth or table for many shows. bring some friends, they will love it :)
