The band seemed great (but I couldnt be sure--read on). The beer was, ah...okay but overpriced. The sound? I mean, what the so-called "sound man" did with his mixing board and amplifiers and such? Just bloody awful. The bass was SO loud it hurt my rib cage, made me nauseous. It was SO loud you couldnt hear much past the bass, some screaming lead vocals, and lead guitar. We were looking right at the sax and keyboard players and it was as if they werent playing at all--or maybe the distorted HASH that was the sound was exactly what all those fine instruments sound like when you turn up the volume SO far everything blends into an industrial roar not unlike a freight train roaring just inches past your head, its horn blasting. It didnt so much resemble music as aural torture. A regrettable waste of $46 and an otherwise perfectly good evening. One last thing: They dont deserve the single star I gave them. Sadly, if I did not give them this one star, I could not have posted this diatribe.

I went to see a band that I love.... During the show I was, what I can only imagine, mistaken for troublesome misfit and kicked out. I went to see Graveyard, a hard rock group, and toward the end of the set, I was grabbed by my neck and hair and thrown to the curb (literally). Im still not sure why they jumped to such actions. I have multiple witnesses who also cannot shed any light on the matter. Mistake or not, I paid good money to see this band, and I was thrown out like a bum for a reason none of the bouncers would properly disclose. They also tried to confiscate my FL drivers licence, claiming it was a fake. I had to have police show up to repossess my licence. Needless to say, I am a FL resident and I retrieved my ID. This place is run by amateurs with inferiority complexes.

A whole place in one place! Who put my friends on that stage, what a fun thing to do! Dogs are not allowed, but road dogs are always there. Were all gonna be here a while so we better make the most of it. Nice venue, good capacity, sometimes they have all ages shows, for all ages shows they make the balcony the all ages section. So views are kind of limited, as youre looking over people if you arent on the banister. Its cool they do all ages shows though, they probably dont have to. Theres a separate bar attached to the venue, which makes getting a change of scenery easy, and gives a small bar feel to a large place. The attached bar does not require admittance to the show.

Been to close to a dozen shows there, everything from Bat for Lashes to Sunn O))), and never had much of a problem. Its basically just a concrete box, so the acoustics are pretty terrible, and the balcony sits perpedicular to the stage, and half of the view is blocked by the hanging speakers. The place can get crowded, but its a music venue, so nothing new there. The age dynamics vary from show to show; sometimes <21 is balcony only, sometimes all ages shows have the bar open upstairs. The balcony can get crowded for 21+ shows, apparently. Pros: Tickets are relatively cheap, lots of good acts come through there Cons: Bad layout, mediocre/bad acoustics

Ive been to Neumos twice with a friend from Wyoming. Both times his Wyoming ID was confiscated claiming it was a fake. Twice we had to call the west seattle Precinct to come reclaim the legitimate ID for him. Neumos was unnecessarily rude and refused to help. The manager would not call the police himself, would not let us re-enter if we called the police to correct the matter, and would not offer us a phone to use inside. The lack of decency was enough that I never wish to go again. Witholding legitimate personal identification is illegal. I hope the place burns down.

We went here to see Adore Delano, and it was an all around disappointment. We paid extra for VIP, and it looked like EVERYONE purchased VIP. The "private bar" was the most popular. The "meet and greet" took over 2 hours, we still didnt get to meet her, the sound levels were FAR too high, even for a concert venue. I was completely unable to hear Adores voice. I think that if you are going to have a show start at 11:15pm, it isnt fair to ask everyone to come at 9pm through an email - the original time was 8pm. I already waited 2 hours, could you imagine waiting 3 hours??

Went February 20th with my spouse to see the Cave Singers. Had heard their was a Mezzanine level but really not impressed with the location relative to the stage--only a couple of seats w/any view. Overall, this venue was pretty nasty with respect to cleanliness, bathrooms and carpet appearance and smell. The staff were all polite & professional but this venue isnt nearly as nice as the Knitting factory in Spokane where the Mezzanine wraps around the floor/stage area.

Capitol Hills darling, Neumos is famous for their local shows and their ability to draw big names in for a boutique show.* Two tips! 1) Beware: the start time on the bill is often an-hour-plus optimistic. 2) If you just want a peek at the band, go next door to Moe Bar for drinks and use the restroom: both venues share facilities, and you can sneak a peak through hallway windows to the stage. *Macklemore did a free "secret" show there tonight (10/7/12)!

Nuemos hosts great bands. Everything from the ticket booth to the security is fine, but when it comes to seeing the band, you might find that seeing them does not necessarily mean hearing. Everything seems to be turned up to 11, which sounds like a wonderful thing, but good luck discerning between two guitar parts, for everything blends into a wall of sound. Get the sound guy some new ears and then youll have a fine venue

Went to see Temples. Apparently 5 other acts were on before so even though doors opened at 7 it wasnt until 11:15 before they took the stage. Pretty small venue, decent bar, clean restrooms. The only issues are lack of parking nearby and terrible sound. Its just too loud and sounded bad. I saw many people with earplugs. Just not worth going back due to the way they handle sound. Left before the show ended.

This club brings great performances, however the sound quality is really bad, atmosphere is ruined. Also club administration and setup is clueless. Ive been there for several concerts of rock legends and came out disappointed. Its really bad that in such a music capital as Seattle to still have this low quality concert halls. Organizers avoid this place.

This is the worst Venue I have ever been to. The sound sucks, the place is very small. From upstairs you cant even see the stage. at least the night we were there. The sound was so loud and distorted that many people tried to tell the sound man to turn it down but he wouldnt have it. Tone deaf sound man. Great. I will never see anyone there.

Went there to see Berner. Typical line, which was expected. Once we got inside the problem came. Thats where u stand there for 2+ hours waiting to see a person even come to the stage. Just really did not have a good time. Overpriced drinks with very little alcohol. I can say that i will not go again.
