Growing up, this was always my favorite restaurant. This was always the go to place for all birthday celebrations in my family. Ive always ordered the Chili Colorado. I remember it being great the last time I went there, and the times before that, maybe a year ago. Well.. I went there recently, about a month ago, and got the Chili Colorado like I always do. Never have I been more disappointed. It looked like someone just got a can of beef stew from the grocery store, dumped it on a plate with rice and beans, and then stuck it in the microwave for 30 seconds. I really regret not taking a picture. There was barely any meat in it, and what meat there was isnt worth writing about. It also tasted very bland. Not at all how I remembered it. That was the first time I didnt finish my meal at a restaurant. So disappointing. Youd think theyd know how to make mexican food, but apparently theyve gotten lazy and just give you canned beef stew instead. If you go here, order a margarita and enjoy the chips and salsa because theyll be the highlight of your dining experience. Sadly and regretfully I recommend a different restaurant. My family has been going here for as long as I can remember, and after our most recent experience I dont think were ever returning, unless they start making real food again. Actually I might go to peppers just to buy salsa to go, LOL.

Worst experience ever had there. Placed a to go order for a group of 7; called at 11am asking for a pickup time of 12:15. The guy who took the order was pretty rude the whole time. At the end of taking the order, he said "yeah. well were pretty busy so we might not have it ready by 12:15" I let him know it was for a work meeting and if they couldnt have it by 12:15 we would just order from somewhere else. He said well it might be; maybe 5 or 10 mins either way. Okay...so an hour & 15 mins is not enough time for a to go order....when youve just opened??? Our Dr left to pick up the food and AS HE WAS STANDING IN THEIR LOBBY WAITING FOR SOMEONE the guy, who took our order, called to make sure we were coming because we werent there yet.....are you kidding me?! Yet, someone was standing in their lobby waiting for our food. Horrible, horrible service. Unbelievable. To top it off, the food was not very good. Will not be returning, which is disappointing, I used to LOVE Peppers!

So my roommate order food from peppers and i was mind blown that a mexi joint delivers... since Im from portland and portland doesnt a have a mexi joint that delivers... ordered my food set my delivery for a hour ahead... food arrived early.... employee didnt have change, taco was horrible, quesadilla was okay, little over priced 10.99 for a quesadilla.... oh and I ordered a horchata that never made it to my doorstep.. I didnt even bother to call and let them know that theyre stoned driver forgot it... i figured the stoned kid that delivered it would spit in it since i didnt tip because he didnt have el chango! So far Ive been to several mexi joints up here in the Oly area and Ive been disappointed every time! Portland has Waaaayyy better mexi food! Good luck with your business Peppers!

The chicken mole is great. Smokey and has chocolate flavors that make it delicious. I also squeezed in a very fresh fish taco. The taco was almost thw size of three street tacos. Locals drop in regularly. We had to take so.e home because of the very large portions. Of course we also filled up on chicken Nachos with the works to share between three of us. It could have filled up five people. We took some home too. Next time we are arranging a ride home to enjoy the mixed drinks. They looked great. The have a wide array of menu items. You can get street food and the full mexican meals that tasted like they are home made. Enjoy

Well, this is Mexican food from the Northwest; poor quality and boring. We took a chance with Peppers from the reviews, but dont bother getting food here. They are like all other formulaic Mexican food restaurants - beans out of a can with cheap shredded cheese on top and flavorless "spanish" rice. We got the Pollo en Creama and the Seafood Enchiladas, they were both pretty flavorless. Save your money and make your own food.

Best marinated pork Ive had! The food was delicious and I loved the salsa bar. Very creative. My only complaint is the one waitress my boyfriend and I had. She was a little rude when we asked for more time to order and didnt bring us a second basket of chips even though our food wasnt ready. Overall, great food but a little on the pricey side. Just needs to work on their customer service.

8/11 I did an online order. Probably like 45 minutes ago from the time Im writing this. Food showed up wicked fast. Was good. Carne Asada Burrito. Massive and delicious. Ordered the chicken nuggets and smiley fries from their little amigos menu. My son thought his food was dope. A++ experience. Was my first time experiencing Peppers. Will repeat.

I really wanted this to be one of those amazing times I have been to Peppers but it wasnt. Chips stale, food didnt seem fresh, others thought theirs was bland, and the sauce on the delicious tamale seemed repeatedly reheated or old. Very nice server and quick delivery. Always love the salsa bar. $17 lunch and Id rather not do it again.

My boyfriend and I ate at Peppers twice before deciding that all the food was overly salted for our taste. For those who dont mind an extra dash of salt and a little less spice then I would still suggest Peppers. It is conveniently located downtown and the prices are alright, not the best but youll still be able to afford an okay tip.

The best TexMex you can get in South Puget Sound. I know since Im a native Texan who misses Mexican food. The salsa is fresh, the margaritas on the rocks are made fresh. They obviously make their own mix. They know the right amount of spice that a true southerner would enjoy if you order the right thing.

The food was very very poor from the way it was presented to the taste being awful. The server was very unprofessional and with no manners at all. This place has really gone down hill very sad. They should shut the place down or start fresh with all new employees including a new owner.

Im surprised to find so many 3 star reviews on Peppers. I have to say that anything Ive eatin at Peppers is always on the delicious side. Their ground beef tacos are something else. And I have to say their salsa is some of the best Ive tasted. Glad to have them so close to home, too.

We judge the restaurant by the salsa. And we LOVED the salsa there. Plus they have a salsa bar and you can keep your refills coming. We enjoyed the carne asada tacos and the ground beef and shredded beef were delicious. Highly recommend this place. Also good prices.

Food was good, not great, family style Mexican. Salsa and chips were really good. Spectacularly slow service was the reason for knocking this down a star. Place was very comfortable once we got in and were seated.
